Sounds like the existing GOG downloader that lets you browse your collection from the app, will auto update for you rather than just notify an update is available, and then the Steam social features added if you're logged in.

I'm surprised it took them this long to get to that point. I'm guessing they held back things like collection browse and auto update until they had the social features ready.

I think this is pretty awesome. It's like Steam without the DRM. What a concept.

Super GOG Galaxy will never be as good as Super GOG World 2: The Witcher's Island.

Super GOG Sunshine was pretty good too despite being beat on by critics and gamers alike.

All of the good things about the Steam client without any of the crap & DRM. GOG's gonna make out pretty damn good here.

It's almost like they understand DRM is pointless and easily circumventable, so why annoy the legit paying end user with the crap in the first place...

They have made very apt comments about DRM in the past. They believe DRM is needed pre game launch, but should be stripped as soon as it launches. That way the game has less of a chance of being cracked pre launch.

GOG is the only digital distribution platform I fully trust in their decisions and will back them, since they have been so open in the past and if they screw up they make it up to you in spades. Heck I have not beaten Witcher 1 or 2 yet and am about to Preorder 3...

I read about this on RPS and am pretty interested in seeing how Galaxy plays with Steam other services. If it performs well, I might just ditch Steam.
