1. You walk into an independent Retro Game store struggling to compete with Gamestop.
2. Scanning the price, did you block the aisle while looking thru your smart phone?
3. You covered up the game with two other cheap games INTENTIONALLY to get a cheap price. You also made sure it was not the owner that saw the games you brought up to the counter.
4. Nine months later you still boast about your crooked value with an over sized attachment here on Racketboy.
A Sports game, obviously bought only to sell. Please at least play the game before your attempt at a "Flip" profit.
alright, i can't let this go. this is ridiculous, accusatory, assumptive, and just plain super fucking rude. the covering an expensive game with cheap games thing is stupid and unnecessary, and we've covered that recently, but WHO. GIVES. A FLYING. SHIT. if he bought this game for $5 and wanted to flip it? why does this hurt you? he makes no indication that he's going to even sell the game in the initial post and yet you assume that because he bought it for soooooo cheap, he must be a filthy, disgusting reseller dirtbag. what price would be okay to pay for this game? $10? $50? that's still way below market value and he could easily double his money. would that be better?
seriously i don't understand this mentality at all. there is absolutely nothing wrong with being involved in a hobby, purchasing items at below cost, and reselling them (or trading them) to further your interest in that hobby. EVERY hobby does this. it's just smart. people aren't made of money and there is no reason to "find-shame" someone because they got a good deal on something.
ohh it's a sports game! he must not want it, he only bought it to flip it! he certainly wouldn't be a master system collector, or just enjoy having high-priced pieces in his collection!
this is seriously bullshit and it drives me nuts when people complain about people purchasing things at a good price to flip or resell as if they've never, ever done that in their own personal history of game collecting. don't tell me you keep everything in every mystery box, every craigslist find, every garage sale bin priced "$20 for all", even duplicates.
