194.24 not to shabby if i say so myself

Break down of the cost:

159 for the 320gb ps3 which I will probably see about upgrading the hdd eventually

10 for assasins creed

12 for Batman Arkham Asylam

For all that, and already having freebies and games compatible across platforms I think with what I already have i'll be doing pretty well... Eventually I'm going to try and find a hdmi cord for it, along with a hd switch. Also I might see if i can find a decent conversion from the hp pavilion 23bw I've been using because if I ever make the switch up to it i won't have sound(ps4 has only had sound because I've been running it through the headphone jack in the controller).

Hopefully you had some help, I know i wouldn't even of been able to get mine in the door and I know it's lighter. *sigh* That's the pain of needing older tvs like this
I got it from the car, through the backyard, and to the first landing of stairs, and then I had to ask my neighbor lol.

PS2 looks pretty good, as does Xbox and Wii games. I'm pleased with the performance so far.

I found these figures and I believe they are video game characters, but I can't figure out who they are--any ideas?

I want to say it's from a Tales game but I'm not entirely sure....

It's an old find from around 9 months ago, but it's still one of the best I've ever had.
There's a game store in my area that I go to fairly frequently. Unfortunately, like many retro game stores, many of the prices there are absolutely ridiculous (i.e. $80 for Super Mario RPG, $50 for Majora's Mask, etc.). Generally all of his Nintendo stuff is stupidly overpriced, but he often has reasonable or even under retail prices for Sega stuff. So I was looking through the boxed Master System games he had and noticed a small stack of loose carts beside all of the boxed games. There were only 3 or 4 games, but I thought I'd check, just in case. I flicked through them: Thunder Blade, Great Football, Great Baseball. And then, on the bottom of the stack was a game I'd never thought I would see in my entire life: James Buster Douglas Knockout Boxing. I immediately scanned the cart for a price tag, and didn't find one. I was super excited, but also nervous that he would say that the game's valuable and give a stupid price. So, just to be safe, I grabbed a couple random $5 games to act as 'blinders'. I walked up to the counter, and his girlfriend was behind it. She started scanning the othe games I had grabbed, and I asked her how much for JBD. She grabbed it from me, looked it over, said 'I dunno, 5 bucks', and handed it back to me. And that's how I got one of the rarest, if not the rarest, US Master System game for $5.

And yet the actual genesis version of that supposedly sells for about that price

Found a still-sealed copy of Darius Gaiden for the US Sega Saturn at one of the local Half Price Books. Got it for $20.

Very happy. :)

This is one of the moments where the store owners is probably thinking about Murphy's Law.
Why doesn't the cartridge has any art work though?

1. You walk into an independent Retro Game store struggling to compete with Gamestop.

2. Scanning the price, did you block the aisle while looking thru your smart phone?

3. You covered up the game with two other cheap games INTENTIONALLY to get a cheap price. You also made sure it was not the owner that saw the games you brought up to the counter.

4. Nine months later you still boast about your crooked value with an over sized attachment here on Racketboy.

A Sports game, obviously bought only to sell. Please at least play the game before your attempt at a "Flip" profit. :?
