I got a pair of bose headphones that I dont want for christmas and I can't return them anywhere. Anybody know of an electronics store that is taking stuff with no receipts back or interested in buying a pair of nice headphones that retail at like 160, ill give a good deal.
You would be helping me out cause I was expecting to use the store credit from the return to buy my girlfriends christmas gift how returns from New York in tomorrow night. Its these right here:

wait, a store that takes returns on an item that isn't theirs!? None do legitimately, but of course you could lie!
The only store I know you could get away with this is Wal-Mart, and only for store credit. We went in and returned 3 copies of Gears of War that we got for being part of a game developing contest hosted by Microsoft. We went in when it was slightly busy on 3 separate sittings (3 different people as well, the 3 guys on our dev team). Only one of the 3 times did we get a little bit of some hassle about it... that's what you get for sending in the stoner friend who stumbles over every word... just screams, "thieving liar!".
But I don't know if Wal-mart even carries the headphones you speak of. They of course carried Gears.

Yea Wal-mart was probably my only shot but they don't carry these headphones, so I'm just trying to sell them for cheap now to friends/randoms. Oh well, C'Est la Vielordofduct wrote:wait, a store that takes returns on an item that isn't theirs!? None do legitimately, but of course you could lie!

Maybe get a credit cart statement with the proof of purchase? It worked for my friend returning a DSLR on Amazon.
Re: Exchanging gifts with no receipt
Make a fake receipt. If you can find a store near you that sells them of course. It's worked for me in the past, but sometimes it doesn't work so....win some lose some.
