I will throw out the idea of the T-Moble G1 as well.
The best iPhone competitor out there. Plus it has a slideout keyboard and T-Mobile's customer service is many times better than ATT.

Apps selection is better on iPhone right now, but Android could catch up.

I just watched a video on the G1. its pretty cool. It does pretty much everything you would want and the slide out keyboard is good for typing. i'm still stuck on the iphone after having the itouch for so long. thanks for the recommendation though.

Just to chime in with an update of my own; my wife and I got iPhones today and so far so good. It's something I'll definitely enjoy using.

So I ordered my iphone online through At&t and basically got it for free!!! I sold my ipod Touch for $100 yesterday and bought a refurbished 3g iphone on the At&t site for $100. Pretty good. And got i'm on my friends family plan. But they're in Massachusetts and I'm in California so I have to see if I can port my CA number onto a MA plan.

OH a f unny note. When I called Verizon and told them I was thinking about leaving so I could get an iphone with At&t they offered me a FREE brand new phone and 200 free minutes for the month and a free data for the month if I didnt leave. I told them I'd think about it. So if you want free minutes or a phone tell them you're thinking about leaving.

Awesome to here you ordered one. So far I've only downloaded 2 games for it but they've been fairly decent: i Love Katamari and Crystal Defenders (a tower defense game by square).

There's a demo version of Crystal Defenders available and it's pretty good fun. Katamari is pretty standard Katamari (if a little watered down) using the motion controls. It's awkward at first but becomes fun quickly and the music is zany and fun as usual.

May I suggest a game? It's a free one - Chess With Friends. It's basically correspondence chess you play against other iPhone owners online. If you want to add me ad an opponent my tag is Radarscope1. It's a fun game - really simple and well done. A couple of other good free ones are Tap Tap Revenge and Maze Finger. Try the "lite" version of Galcon for free, too.

I'd love to play stuff online with you. But i dont know how to play chess. Are there other online games. i had tap tap revenge for the ipod touch and i ddint like it so much. It didnt seem like I was tapping with the music. it was just like the lights would come down randomly as a song would play. anyone know if theres a game like this dirt bike game
