What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendations

It's one of those shows where they are not afraid to kill anyone . After a while you get used to it and come to expect at least a handful of onscreen deaths per episode. It's kind of like the red shirts in star trek .

One Piece has had a couple of those moments for me though. (Maybe I'm in the minority there?)

No you're not on that one, even though I'm behind on that one even on the american dub side of it I just keep forgetting to watch it

Just started watching Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time a couple of days ago. Now I'm not what you would call a big anime watcher or anything, but this one is a new favourite of mine. Each episode is only 5-6 minutes long, but it perfectly captures that feeling of being bored in class and coming up with crazy and ridiculous things to keep you occupied. Oh, and it's pretty gosh darn funny too. Especially the Golf episode. Holy cow I was laughing so hard at that one.

Yeah they keep it pretty light hearted but there are plenty of feely moments stuffed in. Most of the characters have backstories involving friends or relatives getting murdered in very tragic ways(a lot of self sacrifice). Plus there is a dark underbelly to about every society they run into. The Dressrosa ark they are currently on got really dark with the last episode.


Edit: Think I am finally going to start Detective Conan. Should take me a few months to get through it even if I marathon it .

Finished watching SAO, great series. Now I am watching Fairy Tail.

Oh I was hooked from the beginning, just haven't been able to watch as much as i want to(I need either a roku or something that has funi on it....I'm a sucker for the funi dub....)

Finished watching SAO, great series. Now I am watching Fairy Tail.

I will admit that SAO is a great series...heard there was supposed to be a sequel series call Gun Gale Online coming out...don't know what happened to that one. Fairy tail is also a good show as well, it almost feels like the magic guild version of one piece almost and maybe that's why I'm hooked ha ha

The only thing bad about Fairy Tail is the way they ended the current season . They literally stopped in the middle of a tournament without any real conclusion. Plus they are taking forever to start up the next season.

Edit: Nevermind just found out they started up again was looking around my fan sub sites and there it is Fairy Tail(2014). For a second I thought it was a reboot which is what I was afraid would happen but it's a continuation of the first series thankfully. They are 9 episodes in so far so I have a little catching up to do .

Yeah it's just supposed to be a season 2 if I'm correct...(I could be wrong but I thought that's what they said it was)

Yeah they started the episode count back at 1 instead of 176 but it is a new season that picks up right where they left off.
