havent read any stellar reviews yet.

Games not playing and cart slots with "vice like" grips.

I'm loving mine. The vice like grip goes away after the unit has seen a few carts in it. Mine pop out without any issue what so ever now. Yep, some games aren't playing (Contra 3?!!) but I have plenty of other classics to play in the mean time while they fix that. Just finished Ninja Gaiden 2 on it and man did it look great.

The controller sucks though.

You can use other controllers, but its still not an excuse. Retrobit made a fantastic controller with their Super Retro Trio and that has original controller ports to plug into as well.

Maybe that's all the more reason I'm thinking of getting a SRT(or SRD) I hear more good things about those than the rn5 right now...Plus that would eliminate 3 consoles needing to be next to the tv(even though I don't own a genesis I plan on it possibly)...but I can see where you're coming from. It's too bad in the time they stalled everybody that they didn't do some checks to make sure people would like the controller...

This hurts to hear. Really looking forward to using the wireless controller. Using the corded controllers on the TV in the living room just isn't ideal. I'll have to sit right under the TV.

Extension cables are your friend or you can always get a longer HDMI cable and set the box up somewhere close to you.

Are there any full-on detailed reviews out there yet? I can't seem to find any. I guess we'll be waiting until the 7th or so, to start seeing the average retrogamer's opinion.
