This is an amazing game.

The only thing that puts me off it is one of my friends had this game when he was young so he can finish it within an hour where as I can only get halfway through it before dieing.

There were two "sequels" to this game, Sparkster on the SNES and Sparkster on the Genesis. I don't like either as much as the original, though.

Rocket Knight Adventures kicks ass. Pure and simple.
The graphics have some nice effects (like the reflection that's cast on that... [lava?] in the third stage).
The sound effects really add to the overall experience. It's the little things that make this game great. :)

There's only one thing about this game that pisses me off is like, in the Contra games, you don't get to play the whole game on easy mode and don't see the ending. That's not so bad, except the game defaults to easy mode. I was pissed to find out that I went through the whole game just to get a message to play the game on normal mode. At least in Contra, it defaults to normal mode.

Rocket Knight's a classic! It's one of the only "animal with a tude" games from the early nineties that isn't totally lame (aside from Sonic of course.) I'm proud to own a complete copy in my box of Sega stuff. Interestingly enough, the director of this game was the same guy who worked on the NES port of Contra, which might serve to explain why the game is such high quality.

Yeah, that game was really cool and pretty challenging. It has a bit of a learning curve but is a great action game. Konami was really in top form back during the 16-bit era. Great action games, great arcade games and they pumped out a lot of really good licensed games. You don't really see big companies like that doing licensed games today, but there was a time when Capcom and Konami were all over that.

Yes, Capcom's Disney titles on the NES were excellent. Duck Tales is probably one of my favorite platformers from that era. It was a pleasant surprise to see a licensed title that wasn't a steaming pile.

I know it's been a long time since I have played this game... so can someone please remind me what boss the Blood Elf and Draenei are on?
