After releasing on Friday, Mario Kart 8 is off to one hell of a start. Nintendo has announced that the game sold 1.2 million copies worldwide in its first weekend.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said in the statement, "The early response to Mario Kart 8 demonstrates that the best days for Wii U are still ahead. This year's E3 is just days away, and it will be all about the future games for Nintendo platforms. This milestone is a great place to start!"
that's great! so that's 1.2.....1M sold.Ziggy587 wrote:Well, I got sick of reading all of yous talking about it. I just picked up MK8. I'll be posting my thoughts soon enough.
edit: Just played the first race. I can already tell it's gonna be great fun. I did, however, find something that I don't like. I picked up a single green shell. I pressed and held L to hold it on the back of my cart (use it as a shield) but then I couldn't pick up a second item!
In my day you couldn't hold items behind you at all. But that was ok, because the CPU racers didn't throw items in a blockable fashion anyway; they'd lob them over your head or just randomly activate a star and spin you out.Ziggy587 wrote:Well, I got sick of reading all of yous talking about it. You could hold stuff behind you and pick up another in the GBA MK, so it has been around a long time.MrPopo wrote:In my day you couldn't hold items behind you at all. It was just in the first one. It was a super hop basically, and could let you cut corners or dodge shells if you timed it right.CavZee wrote:What feather?
