Its like we make the cake and finally are allowed to eat it then it is taken away from us before we can have a bite. Of course, I totally understand if they have a second season and will retract this statement but there hasn't been anything yet or a hint of one with only movies coming out which is just a retelling of the first season. Granted it is a huge hit I'm sure it will get a second season but still, that is the main problem with the series RIGHT NOW.

Yeah I know what you mean....I really wish season 2 would hurry up and get here. We all know it deserves one, and that ending was too much of a cliffhanger, we need a season 2 :-\

Just started watching "Attack on Titan". I'm 8 episodes in and I really don't see what all the fuss is about. With how often this was recommended to me, I was expecting much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying it so far and I'm not trying to knock it at all. My only real issue is that it's too damn predictable. Everyone told me it was an emotional roller-coaster, but I haven't shed a single tear because I could tell what was going to happen next.

Still looking forward to watching more episodes tonight. It's definitely entertaining enough.

Read the Manga as of a few months ago when I stopped reading it it was already at the point where they will probably end season 2. The shows pace really starts picking up and they finally start revealing more about the titans.

Picked up Metropolis a while back for $1 at a pawn shop finally got around to watching it yesterday and freaking loved it. Has a surprisingly good dub as well. Brother watched part of it with me so I started in dub and after he went to bed midway through it was decent enough that I didn't switch audio back to Japanese. Story was great there was a lot was going on but it never got confusing and there was a nice variety of characters.

I've been wanting to watch that anime. I've got it in fact but haven't sat down to watch it. The reason I picked it up is because I watched the original Metropolis (the 1927 German film, the granddaddy of sci-fi movies) and wanted to see how many borrowed elements from that movie were in this anime.

Good to hear man. I'm in the middle of it, and I can say with certainty that things really start to escalate after they establish the characters and overall direction of the story. Can't wait to see how everything plays out.

This.

In the 90's it was a lot harder to get into these sorts of things. Suncoast was my savior and allowed me to get into anime and giant monster movies. If it wasn't for that store, I would never had gotten into Godzilla as much as I did. This is the only place I could find random anime as well.
Man, I forgot about Suncoast. That's the old movie store that used to be in the mall right? It was the only place to buy anime and they always had cheezy horror/scifi movies on the cheap. I remember buying things like Blackula and Dawn of the Dead for like $2 back in those days. I also bought some giant Macross poster there with a half naked picture of Ishtar on it that everyone thought I was a creeper for owning (I probably was). I learned about anime in the early 90s from a combination of Suncoast and an unusual Blockbuster by my house that rented anime when nowhere else did.

Attack on Titan was far too predictable, but damn those last five episodes made it worth it. Very enjoyable series and easy to see why so many like it. I just couldn't "get those feels bro".

I've got Accel World and No Game, No Life on the To-Watch list. Trying to catch-up on this crap sucks... Feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options.

I don't remember seeing anything about the show having an emotional side to it, just that it was really badass. I watched it and it was really cool indeed but not really any "feels".

One Piece has had a couple of those moments for me though. (Maybe I'm in the minority there?)

Exactly how I felt. It totally had a badass factor, but I rarely saw any spots that made me emotional at all. A lot of people on Facebook told me to "expect lots of feels". :?
