Re: Modding experts enter
The Twilight Hack is pretty straight forward, should take you no more than 5 mins and opens up a world of emulators, you can even play saturn games on your wii

Apparently Linux for PS3 is coming along leaps and bounds with emulators. Quite a few are running well. There's a thread about it in the emulation forum (somewhere, can't find it right now).
Here's another thread on a similar topic.

I have been thinking about installing yellow dog on my PS3. I know with Ubuntu it's dead easy to install MAME and play with a generic USB controller. I would assume you can run lots of emulators with Linux on the PS3. I have MAME and a NES emulator on my Linux Laptop but I'm afraid to try it on my PS3.Niode wrote:Apparently Linux for PS3 is coming along leaps and bounds with emulators. Also the Cell is based on PPC architecture. You can't just use any version of linux and hope it works. The Kernel has to have the right syscalls for PPC. Also the software needs to be compiled likewise.
It's not that straight forward and you're not going to get the same performance as you would on a PC.
There are guides on the net for this kind of thing. Just google.

You only have to run Zelda once, and use the hacked save file to load and install The Homebrew channel, which as you might expect is a new channel on the wii menu which will load any home brew you like from the SD without the need for the zelda disk.
Quake wii is pretty cool
Never used the homebrew launcher though.
