Tales of Illyria looks decent, Matt Chat posted a review of it a few weeks ago

The new Shadowrun was also designed for tablets
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I really, REALLY want the 3DS remake of Dragon Warrior Monsters 2. It was one of the first RPGs I (n)ever beat, and it's a big part of my development as a gamer.

Honestly though, this game is like 100+ hours and the save points are far apart, i hope you plan on charging your phone alot.

Well, you can always leave a game and just go back to it on a cell phone, kinda like alt+tabbing out on a PC.

I still think that mobile platforms are underutilized for truly deep RPGs. I think with just some minor tweaking, the touch interface could be ideal for retro RPGs.

DQ VIII is now out in the US App Store.

The game has no voice acting and is missing the orchestrated soundtrack. I'm kind of disappointed. I think I'll just finish the game on PS2 and maybe wait for this version to go down to five dollars before checking it out.

What a missed opportunity. I guess they didn't want the file size to be huge. Shame really, maybe they will add the voices and soundtrack as DLC? *shudder*

I think it's that way beacause voices and orchestrated soundtrack was added in USA version. The original Japan relase has just text dialogue and original "chip-tunish" OST.
So they just ported Japan version and added english text.

Srry for engrish :)
Sorry for my engrish :)

Yeah a few reviews I read mentioned that. I didn't even realize the rest of the world got the superior version of a game for once.

It's still kind of disappointing. I understand concessions have to be made for mobile releases (although phones are becoming so powerful that porting shouldn't be an issue) but I would gladly download another 2-3 GB of data to have as close to the full experience as possible.

I didn't realize iOS could run Ps2 level games.
GTA San Andreas is on iOS, and that is a game that pushed the PS2 to it's limit, so yeah I think it can handle any PS2 game
