Help with Mother 3 and the EX Flash IV

So I just bought an EZ flash IV and can't figure out how to get Motehr 3 Translated to run. I know you have to load it to NOR so I press select and it asks me if I want to load game to NOR and I say yes and it goes through the whole loading process, but then what? How do I play the game from NOR. Google searches say there should be a new file in the root of your SD card, but I see nothing. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to make a special named folder? Is my EZ Flash IV faulty?

It should show up under the "EZ-Disk" file when you turn your GBA on.

Have you tried loading anything else into NOR?
Try loading a smaller rom into NOR and see if that works first, then at least you will know what to look for.
Afterwards, of course, you will have to delete that before it will fit the whole Mother 3 rom.

Also, did the translation patch make the rom too big? NOR cannot hold more than that 32MB maximum (1 byte over would probably fail).

nothing shows up at the root of my SD, I know what it SHOULD be doing. I've tried loading smaller games to nor with no luck you think I need to update it? Oh well I guess Mother 3 is the only game that NEEDS to be loaded by NOR, I guess I can just emulate it on the psp.

I downgraded the firmware, which finally allowed me to load Mother 3 to the NOR, man it took a hell of alot longer now that it does it properly almost 10 min. Now unfortunately this downgrade brought back the horrendous Star Wars Darth Vader theme, why is this a thing? its so random. Also the downgrade unfixed the issue with yoshi island where it was just a black screen.

So now I can no longer load games to the NOR but mother 3 is still there loaded on the NOR, which is perfect. That shit takes forever and I'm not into Pokemon hacks so I see no need for anything other than Mother 3 being loaded on the NOR

Well this turned out to be a huge headache but glad I figured it out, now I can go to sleep. I'm too tired to play Mother 3 now haha.

Yeah, I have the Star Wars Vader theme too. Never bothered to change it, but plan to someday.

And yeah, I pretty much just decide on one single 32MB game to load to NOR and just leave it there. It's not something that you want to change frequently. But at least it's instantaneous loading once it's on there.
I have Yggdra Union on mine, but ended up buying a lot of the other large games separately.
Of course, a lot of those games work on my Supercard (a more recent purchase) as well .

You can't beat the compatibility of the EZ-Flash though.
