PS+ yearly titles are going away :(

Apparently they're not re-upping the "evergreen" AAA titles that stick around for a year, instead giving away two new games a month for each system. not sure how i feel about this, but whatever. i've been enjoying the free games on PS3 and vita, but i guess i need to get a PS4 some time this year to really take full advantage of the service.

Not sure if you're aware dude, but you can actually claim PS4 titles that are free by going to the PlayStation Store on the web. That way you won't miss out on any that go away between now and when you get a PS4.

Oh yeah, I've definitely been doing that. Just don't have a PS4 to play them on yet. Also kinda waiting for a real AAA game to be released on PS+ before buying a system, so far it's just been indies.

It's actually one of the Catch-22's for them. One of the reasons I haven't bought Killzone: Shadowfall is because I assume it will be free on PS+ at some point.

It doesn't bother me. The free games to download for Vita were just bait to get people to buy large proprietary memory cards. Personally I bought a Vita to play Vita games. And my measly 4gb card suffices for their save files fine.

i have a 16GB card, and it's okay, but it does get annoying when i run out of space and have to pick and choose which games i have to leave on the system. i'm not paying $100+ for a 64GB card only to fill that up in another month or so.

I guess this is only a real problem if you can't renew your subscription for a couple months. Kind of sucks, but also means we get more titles.

well, it's just a shift away from the focus on PS3. which is fine, i knew that would come eventually, it just sorta sucks it happened before getting at least one more batch of new PS3 games. oh well. really the system poised to get the most benefit is the vita, since a lot of the PS3 games are cross-buy and will be able to be downloaded in addition to the already two free vita games.

it is making me want a PS4 even more, though.

I worry that since the shift is moving toward PS4, the quality of games will drop. With PS+ now required for online play, I feel like the initial hook of "SWEET FREE GAMES" loses its luster.
