I don't see how it's padding - Link to the Past did the same thing.

I didn't feel the same way about it in LttP though. I guess I just don't like OOT.

For people who can't afford a PC.
Who can't afford a PC? You can find a brand new laptop for $660. I am guessing a 5 year old one is $100 or less. But seriously, I think you can always find some one who is willing to give their old hard-ware away. My macbook is 5 year old and it can do whatever the Ouya can.

I've actually been thinking about getting an OUYA, and it's not because I care about mobile games.

Recently I learned that you can easily sideload various apps onto the OUYA like Play and Amazon App Store. I also found out that Splashtop 2/Splashtop Personal totally works on the OUYA, and it even recognizes the button presses on the controller.

1080P streaming to your TV from your computer. Hook up wireless keyboard/mouse to the OUYA or use the controller. $75 isn't a bad price for that ability, along with XBMC running on Android, and Plex. And, hey this thing probably runs all those dumb android ports I own too. Sounding like a pretty nice option to me, right now.

Important tidbit in case people are unaware
as long as you do NOT have the 360 essentials nonsense installed, holding down the Xbox button on a 360 controller hooked to your PC will launch Steam Big Picture mode.

I've been playtesting a friend's Suikoden 2 scoop so he knows if it will run... It will, though it definitely almost hangs in some of the "major battles" (the large-scale ones)

I turned it off last night juuuust before what the walkthrough calls "the hardest set of battles in the game" NOT looking forward to grinding levels to make sure I can win.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

EDIT:
Also, are there any adapters that let you play N64 games on any other console?
Unfortunately, there's no adapter to play N64 games on another console like you can with the NES and SNES. Also, there's no clone consoles yet.
It might seem like a stupid question, and it is, but I don't have that many N64 games I want and I almost feel guilty for owning the console with only one current game and only about 8 total I want, many of which can be gotten on other consoles.
I don't see anything wrong with having a console only for a few choice games. There's no reason to think that there won't be any more games you'd like to play in the future. If you still don't want to have an N64 lying around, you could see if the games you're interested in are emulated well on modern N64 emulators like Mupen64Plus and BizHawk or if they're on Nintendo's Virtual Console.

Can I replace my WDTV with it?

My WDTV is ok but the GUI is ugly, a bit slow, the rewind and forward function is a bit retarded (jitters), and some how the connection ports in it seem to be installed wrong way up.

But it does what it supposed to do, play all video files .

Probably? It's a more powerful, more flexible device. That said, its media center capabilities are something you have to add and configure, not what it's built for out of the box like your WDTV is.
