What are the thoughts around here on Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness? What about other N64 action adventure games? I'm just looking around to see what else I might put on my want list besides essentially the whole FPS library on N64.

Well you do have the zelda games(which last I checked do count as action adventure because that's the official genre). Both of them are amazing since I've beat OoT(and sadly that's the only one I've truly beat, others I've come close but haven't really done so) a few years ago and Majora's Mask is a interesting spin on the usual zelda formula with that time element...

I'm actually not to big of an OOT fan, although I'm going to do another run through on the Master Quest gamecube version if I don't get any new games or systems soon. I just felt like half the time I didn't know what was going on, and the three extra mini dungeons at the beginning aggravate me. I also have issues with the water dungeon...

Huh, never had the issue with the first part, it was really easy. And don't we all with the water dungeon? That is literally the hardest dungeon out of the whole game supposedly....and I didn't have a single trouble with any part of the game as bad as that dungeon...

I just think those mini dungeons are a waste of time getting to the real deal most of the time. It seems almost like padding.

I guess I was just blinded by my fanboy-ism but I always had fun in those dungeons and was blown away when I finally got to the second set of dungeons. I've replayed those parts many times(in trying to restart since I would take too long of a break and forget where I was and what I was doing) and fell in love each time. But as they say "it's not for everybody". i'm really half tempted to go grab the 3ds version and the n64 version(since I'm trying not to make that system my own even though I never see my dad play it but once in a while every blue moon)

@darsparx

Just make sure you're grinding enough so that you can pick up the best weapons/armor/magic in each town.

Oh and don't forget to finish Ys. :lol:

Wrong thread but ok :P but I think I may take a break from the rpgs once I finish ff1 and try to do the original Legend of Zelda or another non-rpg title on the list(I think there's one on there?). I'm getting really burned out on ff1 right now even though it's a ton of fun

I never saw them as mini dungeons. I always saw them as the same structure as the dungeon setup in LttP. The only difference is LttP didn't skimp on the dark world dungeons; we got seven of those, rather than the five that OoT gives.

I keep posting stuff in the wrong thread. I dunno what the hell is wrong with me. I think it's an issue of having multiple tabs open at once.
