Something just pushes me to get the XboxOne . Something is "cool" about it, not sure what. It has to do with the branding I bet

Enjoy MS's (lack of) support in non-North American or big European countries.

I like the exclusives on Xbox a lot better than on Playstation - if NIS decides to make all their RPGs multi-plat this gen, there will literally be no reason for me to ever buy a PS4.

We do not have support of any kind for any product here. Usually the guarantee is provided by the store owner which lasts for 1 or 3 months I forgot.

This is literally the only reason to get one. Fanboyism aside, there is just plain better hardware out there.

Sure the price drop helps, but what about the fanatic fans that already paid way more? It's like M$ is saying, "Thanks for the support guys, but screw you anyway."

I will give them credit for dropping the pay wall on Netflix and stuff though. I can absolutely not believe it took them this long to do it. Seeing the numbers go in Sony's favor must have lit a candle under the M$ exec's asses.

As for the NIS titles, I wouldn't bet on it. Sony has the JRPG genre on lock. It's been like that since the PS1.

One thing I will say though is this: If M$ "loses" this generation (whatever that means) and another generation comes along (which may not happen) they will be damn sure not to "lose" again. My guess is that they'll make something so powerful and absurdly cheap, that Sony nor Nintendo can compete. It seems like the M$ way. Sure, they may tack on a bunch of stuff that isn't popular, like always on internet etc, but we already know that they'll listen to the fan base and backtrack that stuff. I think this generation is a wash for them. But they won't let it slip again.

But it sets them apart from Sony, who has an S in their name but they aren't trying to make money.

Why would there be a bunch of NIS stuff on the Xbone?

NIS is such a mixed bag anyway. I find about 50% of their games playable. Way too much "cute" otaku bait / fan service crap.

Mmmm... the NIS games themselves tend to be pretty solid, though in general far too grind heavy for my tastes to feel like you're getting a full experience. But the stuff NISA brings over definitely is very hit and miss for me.

Oh yeah, I was thinking mainly of the games they published. They have developed some solid titles like Rhapsody, Phantom Brave, and La Pucelle: Tactics. Disgaea is a series I could live without.

Their published titles are hit-or-miss.

None of this stuff will end up on a Microsoft system anyway. And the best RPGs are gonna end up on portables, for the second gen in a row.

Obviously I'm not a developer and know nothing about porting, but it seems like with the consoles having parity with x86 architecture it should be a lot easier to port things developed for one to the other. If it is easier, then it seems like money left on the table to not go multi-platform.
