I really don't like wakes. :(
My Grandfather's funeral was open casket, and lasted a full two days. Taps was played twice (live), and just the thought of that song now gets me misty eyed.

My Father's Father died when my Dad was 12, and they had a two day open casket funeral...in their house. That had to be something difficult to deal with.

Man, Frags, that sucks, I'm sorry. You can't beat yourself up, though; you did everything you could, sounds like. Best of luck healing. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying, if you need someone to talk to, feel free to PM me anytime.

On a happier note, I went down to see my cousin for Memorial Day weekend! He owns a bar a few hours south of where I'm at, so I basically drank beer on the beach all weekend. It was great.

 : I'm taking it pretty well even though he is my first grandparent to pass on. I'm just glad he doesn't have to suffer anymore. Alzheimers is a horrible disease and it was getting to the point that he hardly recognized anyone and was constantly worried/afraid.

I had the great pleasure of running in the BolderBoulder yesterday.

It was great fun and I intend to do it again next year.

Lots of :( in this thread right now. Sorry for your loss Fragems, but it's good that he's not suffering anymore. Death really doesn't affect me like it used to and I have a hard time feeling sad when somebody dies.

:D :D :D
I hate shopping at Wal-Mart, but sometimes our Rouses doesn't have what we're looking for. We ran into the new Neighborhood Wal-Mart (which opened RIGHT NEXT TO our Rouses) to pick up a few extra things and found this:

Interesting, at least when it first went to stores it was only in HEB. I hadn't noticed if it was elsewhere too now.

I was really surprised to see it in Louisiana, especially this far East. They only had a few bottles though...

Despite three interviews later since my last rant about work, nothing seems to be working out so far. I'll hold on, but the amount of stress and lack of morale at my work place is incredible. Anyone ever walked out on a job after a few years worth? No regrets? Just about at that point.
