Yeesh man yeah, hope you can try to relax this week. I used to work wit a girl that had similar issues. I even accidentally contributed to an attack one night. She took some meds and I just kind of held her until she calmed down and fell asleep.

Not much you can do about a messed up brain chemistry except apply more chemistry. My sister has a seizure disorder she's developed in her adult years. First time it happened she was ice skating (which led to a leg injury in the process), second time was when I was visiting my parents; it's an eerie experience to see someone fall over and start undergoing involuntary movements.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:It seems so stupid but its almost completely involuntary. Damn, Ryan, that's tough. Hope you get the meds you need ASAP - seems odd that they wouldn't have sent you home with some from the hospital, though.

Yikes Ryan. Did your doctors tell you to cut out caffeine? Also if you smoke (anything) you should cut that out as well.
Smile: Last night was Tony the Tiger Grrrrrreat. Went to a bbq at a friends place and kicked tail at bocce ball. Now tonight is my turn to entertain.
Plus this day will be incredible. Great weather, friends over at noon, Memphis style bbq chicken for dinner, croquet outside, no work (I'm not even checking my email), and my only responsibility of the day is to buy a watermelon.

I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but the way I see it, we live in a sex crazed culture. Literally everything we do have or see essentially rotates around sex, or attempting to get it. And everyone is then fed the bullshit that personality matters when trying to have a relationship with someone, with relationship equaling sex in our current times. So, these creepy ass dudes all get it in their heads that they are nice or doing what they are supposed to in order to get sex out of these women, but they can't, and then they get all kinds of fucking weird.BoneSnapDeez wrote:It's not something I actively follow but it seems like the whole Men's Rights/"Nice Guy"/neckbeard "movement" has gone from pitiful to absolutely fucking terrifying in the last few years.AppleQueso wrote:he was a misogynist who genuinely saw women as less than human. He saw 'sex' as currency and felt it was owed to him.
The scariest shit is that none of the disgusting stuff in his manifesto is anything I haven't seen elsewhere. There's entire online communities built around fucked up ideas like that.
(oh and as a bit of icing on the shit cake he was a blatant racist who was angry that 'inferior black men' were able to get 'white women' and he couldn't)

That's because our culture, like every other culture, contains males. That is how the male brain is wired.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but the way I see it, we live in a sex crazed culture. That's not enough reason. A lot of proud feminists will turn around and tell you that women can be and should be (assuming they want to) just as sexual and lascivious as men, so don't peg it on people with penises being the problem.MrPopo wrote:That's because our culture, like every other culture, contains males. Not because there are men but because men are in charge. Can you even name one Matriarchal society? Egalitarian?MrPopo wrote:That's because our culture, like every other culture, contains males. Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
There are times in life where it seems this way (e.g. much of the first third or so), but fortunately it is more typical that most of one's life is not spent doing things that revolve around the idea of having or trying to get sex.Forlorn Drifter wrote: I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but the way I see it, we live in a sex crazed culture.
