or suredisc? I used to send my stuff to skippydisc, but for whatever reason they are not taking any orders at the moment. You know any other reliable sites that you've gone to just recently that is near California.

If you need stuff resurfaced on a regular basis Just invest in one of these bad boys.

Resurfaced probably 1000+ discs on mine at this point and the thing is still kicking. Small starter kit it comes with is good for around 100 cycles through the system. Price wise the supplies through eBay and Amazon aren't to bad either.

Process is pretty simple:
1. Turn On
2. Course Sand Paper 10 seconds(If scratches are extensive otherwise you can skip it)
3. Soft Sand Paper 10 seconds
4. Buffing Solution 1 Minute(if scratches are bad I usually wipe it down with some anti static spray check the scratches then repeat steps 2-4 if they are still Bad.)
5. Polishing Solution 1 Minute
6. Wipe off with cleaning cloth same thing on the front just with some anti static spray to keep from damaging the artwork.

Leaves them looking like new usually with a slight wear ring where the disc was attached to the unit.

Only discs that I wouldn't recommend resurfacing on it are Dreamcast discs pressure from the pad seems to screw up their data layer really easily. Also it isn't very bluray friendly. it is "Bluray safe" but it's only safe to do some light buffing/polishing. Using even the soft sand paper will wear down to the data in a cycle or two. Blurays are scratch resistant though so even if the scratches look light it's usually because someone has really gone to town on the disc :P .

Edit: Sorry if my post came off a little spammy :P. Really like this thing and use it daily  .

no, you were just trying to help out. Sometimes I forget which company I went to resurface my disc as I remember going to two of them at least. I never tried suredisc.

I want to go to the one with the best service.

Hey Brotha,

Check this website out.

http://azuradisc.com/azuradisc/index.html

They are not the cheapest, but still very affordable. However, the disc you get back will look brand new again. None of those crazy swirls you get from cheaper practices.

regards,
Jordan

have you tried their service? I think I did, but I don't remember which game I sent LOL. Maybe it was Final Fantasy X and it was brand new when it came back.

You cannot beat the JFJ. I have one and love it. I got into the habit of hardly ever looking at disc when I buy them sometimes LOL.

Advise for you though if you are just doing this to play and not resell. Just buff, nothing else. Buff a little at a time till it plays then stop. This will allow you to go back later if it needs buffed again. You can over do it easily.

Cost it out, it may be cheaper, it may cost more. If you only have a disc or two then send em out. If you are gonna make a habit of getting your disc buffed then buy one of these. You will not regret it.
