Couldnt find/Didnt see, a Mario Kart 8 thread, so i made one! instead of clogging up the Wii U thread with all Mario Kart 8 once it releases, figured it could use its own.

For starters, here is a video of a NASCAR being wrapped in Mario Kart 8 theme for this weekend.
(i dont follow NASCAR, but i found this cool anyways)

Been stoked for this for a while now, picking it up day 1 for sure. Really looking forward to online racing, as my Wife and I love racing online with MK7.

I paid for my copy a couple days ago. I'm pretty excited, even if the character roster is pretty bad.

I really with I could be playing this game right now. But I just don't have the kind of money to be dropping $250 on a console that has only a few games I would actually play.

In MK7, they did a fantastic job at shaking up the Retro tracks with new obstacles and features. What has that been like this time around?

Also, I agree. The roster is disappointing.

I usually main as Wario in MK since MK64, and Pikachu in SSB, and luckily they havent changed that.

But if they did ditch those characters, im sure i would find another one.

The character roster definitely doesn't ruin the game. I watched some gameplay videos and it all looks fantastic. I just thought including all seven koopa kids was a bit much. I also really don't like the baby characters, and lack of Donkey Kong characters. But at least my main man Yoshi is still in the game. I can always be assured that he will be in every Mario Kart title.

As long as Toad is in the game I am happy, I play him in every Mario Kart.

The Koopalings make the roster pretty good in my eyes even if the baby characters and metal Peach are there. Now Mario Kart 7's roster was bad with the Queen Bee and the caterpillar thing.
