I used it with Skype back in 06 or 07, before Skype did video for free. It works ok, doing it with video chat works better. Next time I do it I might just put everyone up on a tv on one side of the table facing me sitting at the other.

 : Having to call eBay customer support again today :P. The jackholes over at the Global Shipping Program still haven't contacted me or sent my buyer an invoice and it's been 24 hours since the case has been "escalated" to them. Seriously if the service can't even get an invoice to a buyer within 120 hours of the sale it shouldn't freaking exist.

Edit: Called customer support again and instead of being allowed to wait on hold for a rep they have a message playing saying "all lines are busy please call back later" . No ETA on when the lines will be open again or anything so I guess I have to spam them all day till I get through.

So i got through to Customer Support finally and I'm pretty sure I hit the Philippines call center this time :P. I could hear a ton of calls going in the background and the girl I spoke with couldn't speak English very well.

At first she thought I wanted to opt out of the Global Shipping Program and ship the item for free to Spain by myself. It took about 5 minutes to get her to understand that the guys at the GSP hadn't even sent my buyer an invoice yet and they needed to send him a new one. Supposedly she "fixed" the problem and they should send him a "corrected" invoice shortly. Hopefully this has all been resolved but I have a sick feeling that I'm going to see $4.99 pop up in my paypal and when I go to ship it I'll see a address in Spain instead of the GSP center even though I told her repeatedly the free shipping only covered to the Global Shipping Center :P.

I opted out of the GSP immediately after this crap started so hopefully once this is through I will never have to deal with them again.

I have just been incorporating shipping into my starting prices since the 8-10% final value fee includes the shipping costs anyways :P so pretty much every auction I do has free shipping. With the GSP they basically calculate the international shipping and tack it onto the final value. That is why I can't send out invoices the total is calculated by them no clue what they are even going to charge this guy for shipping looks like it would cost me $15-20 privately through USPS so I'm guessing it's going to be something nutty. I am actually hoping this guy cancels this purchase when he gets their estimate :P. If they can't even handle the invoice I don't even want to imagine what could go wrong when they actually have to ship the item :P .

Edit: 5 hours after the second CS phone call and still no invoice for my buyer. Guess I'm just going to have to try and talk the guy into canceling the transaction since apparently eBay just doesn't give a shit :P.

Smile: Have a friend who works with the ILM side of Disney.

Frown: That means I'll receive a lot less insider news as those guys are as tight lipped...I won't use an analogy. But I'll say they're tight lipped.

:P : GSP situation over at eBay just keep getting worse and worse. Guy still hasn't gotten an invoice even though after the second call to customer support I was assured that a new invoice was being sent. Now he is accusing me of just not wanting to ship the item :P. It's fun getting screwed from all sides during a transaction.

Edit: I swear I'm recording the next phone call to their customer support I'm tired of being lied to.

Frown: So a group of my friends are calling me lame for not going on a trip with them. I gave them a "solid no" because...

I'm not a "beach person".

They're going to Myrtle Beach. No offense, but even when I went there for Senior week in high school I found it to be white trashy.

They're going during biker week.

They're paying $350.00usd for two nights for a crappy motel.
