Coffee drinkers, stock up now. Brasil and Columbia had bad harvests and the price is about to go up. Good thing beans are good in a freezer for over a year.

I don't like Ikea's furniture, but I do enjoy its Swedish groceries. My wife picked up a tube of Kalle's Creamed Smoked Roe and some rye flatbreads the last time she visited. Combined, they taste so, so good.

And that stuff is so cheap! Feed the whole family for $15!prfsnl_gmr wrote:I don't like Ikea's furniture, but I do enjoy its Swedish groceries. My wife picked up a tube of Kalle's Creamed Smoked Roe and some rye flatbreads the last time she visited. Combined, they taste so, so good.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Kalles kaviar is a Swedish brand of smörgåskaviar.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Kalle's Creamed Smoked Roe .
Bort bort bort!
Had Highway 55, formerly "Andy's", last night as a surprise Birthday dinner. Southern style burger (slaw/chili/mustard/onions) and onion rings. Holy crap was it a change in my diet, but it was delicious.

Whatever the wife wants tonight I'll cook. I just want to go home, eat, do some yoga, and fall asleep. Rarely do I have a lack on energy, but boy...I need some serious sleep time.

I've never been able to get into rye bread. Tastes too... Christmas-y.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I don't like Ikea's furniture, but I do enjoy its Swedish groceries. My wife picked up a tube of Kalle's Creamed Smoked Roe and some rye flatbreads the last time she visited. Combined, they taste so, so good.
I love gin though, strangely enough. Maybe I just have to try the right rye-topping combo.
Anyway, I'm gonna go get some FroYo and sit by the lake on my lunch break! It's finally beautiful out here in Vermont!!!

A decent reuben sandwich on rye = heaven
Sounds like too much seeds are on your rye bread.
And sauerkraut rye? Maybe the best bread on Earth.
Re: What are you eating?
s...sauerkraut... rye?
How does that even happen? More importantly, how have I not heard about this?
Going to get a rueben on rye now.

Sauerkraut Rye Bread
3/4 cup plus 1 Tbs water (70-80 degrees)
2 Tbs Molasses
2 Tbs butter softened.
1 cup sauerkraut, well drained and chopped
1 Tbs caraway seed
2 Tbs brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup rye flour
2 cups bread flour
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select the basic bread setting.
Choose light crust color and loaf size if available
Bake according to bread machine directions.
Check dough after 5 minutes of mixing. Add water or flour if needed.
Use of delayed timer is not recommended.
It's delicious. Goes great with champagne and a sexy wife.

Re: What are you eating?
There is a restaurant in Nolensville TN that is the best In N' Out knockoff I have ever had (and I have had a bunch). Their sauce is alittle sweeter, their vegetables are higher quality, and they are Pepsi, not Coke. But all together, it is the best In N' Out knockoff. The fries and meat are spot on.
