Wish I could find a decent action-adventure game to add to my list or at least a zelda clone(that I could own within the next month or two). I would put OoT on my list but I already beat that game(not 100% but I beat it to see the creds roll)

What does this mean? That you literally spent 18 hours playing TRA but only 6.5 hours are "logged" due to reloaded saves and whatnot?

18 hours is about how long it recently took me to beat Final Fantasy II. Strange how "regular" games are now as long as retro RPGs. (It only took me about 13 hours to finish the first Final Fantasy. Isn't a game like BioShock about that long?).

This is actually gonna be my first Castevania game period. Looking forward to it. It was a toss-up between SotN and the N64 game, but general consensus is that SotN is a much better choice so I went with that.

Moving on...

I completed the first palace in Zelda II today. Got about 5 Game Overs in the process. Still, I've never made it this far in my life so I'm pleased. My secret weapon, the NES Game Atlas from 1991:

An 8-year-old Dave could have never imagined that I'd be using this Atlas 23 years later for a handheld version of Zelda II.

(Seriously, why the hell did they not include Metroid in this though???)

yes and no. It also means that I tend to minimize PC games instead of shutting them off if I go eat supper, or take a break or something. So basically, I have no real idea of how much time it's really taken me. Somewhere between 6.5 and 18 hrs I guess haha.

Ha ha, now you're making me want to find that book and buy it.

FF1 update: Finally made it to pravoka. I haven't done or remembered my research one, but it feels like the monster encounters is way up in this version of the game. Especially sometimes I will literally walk two steps(not kidding here) and *bam* another encounter. I think i wore out my psp though by taking breaks from looking at it and everything but keeping the screen lit. Gotta remember not to do that ha ha...

No worries. FFVI is a very, very solid choice. It is the first RPG that I absolutely loved, and the only one - other than FFI - that I have completed multiple times. I hope that you enjoy it!
Oh, I'm sure I will. I loved FFIV when I played it a couple years ago and VI seems just as loved, if not more, so I'm looking forward to it :)

You have no idea...

Based on your experience so far, however, I think you will be quite pleasantly surprised when you realize the game's true scope.

Uh-oh...The difficulty ramps up pretty steeply after the first palace. (Zelda II is far and away the most difficult game in the Zelda series.) You should stick with it, however, and I will be here to offer you encouragement (especially when you are searching for the hammer or trying to tackle the final dungeon).
