Love that ^

Smile: Closed a 40k a year sale today. But what made me really smile?

What made Luke Really Smile: It was with a funeral home/cemetery/mortuary and the owner said "Whew. You wouldn't believe how busy I am. I have a lot of ground to cover".

He inadvertently made me laugh so hard I had to apologize. And then he laughed so hard he had to apologize.

Death. Sometimes it can be funny.

I've tried pretty much everywhere.

Can't get a job at Taco Bell because it's an hour away and we don't have public transportation and my mom said the van's getting repossessed. There's still a few places I haven't checked yet (Dairy Queen and this one place called Kitty Hawk Kites, where my mom used to work, as well as Wonder Berry, a local frozen yogurt place I used to frequent back in the summer of 2012 when I was raking in roughly $300-500 a week working two jobs) and I still have a few applications to turn in, but the Subway one has to be done on Tuesday since that's when the manager's gonna be in (and when Wonder Berry's gonna be open, since at the moment they're only open 2-8pm Tuesday - Saturday). Gonna try this other place called Gidget's (formerly Topper's Pizza).

Ticked - Had some issues from last year that I was not involved with at all come in and ruin my chances at my bonus at work and may be getting me in trouble. We transitioned some stuff from one group to another and a couple customers got lost in the mix. This was a corporate transition, not a local decision, and now one of my reps, and possibly myself, might be fired because some asshat at corporate did not do his job. I do not believe I will be fired over it, I dont think it is that severe, I wont know until later, but there goes my chances at both a quarterly and yearly bonus.

To add salt to the wound, several of my other reps were given bonuses today via a new program. They bitched and moaned that the new system is giftcard based and you have to chose where you can go and their favorite stores were not on it. Sure places like Walmart, Sears, Kohls, and Target are not on the list, but Bass Pro, CVS, Gamestop, and Lowes are. And anyone in this state that cannot spend a grand at a combination of those four (or do not know someone who can), should not be allowed to drive. One of them was complaining about his lawn mower, and when I told him he could get a new one at Lowes with a gift card, he decided that it was too much work and went back to complaining about the gift card system. I mean sure, if it was your standard work bonus, thats a terrible system, but this is a bonus ontop of the work bonus.

keep at it, man. get a job as soon as possible, even if it sucks. if there's one you can walk/bike to, then by all means do that. save as much money and live as independently as you can given your current situation. this is my advice to you.

Sucks and sorry. I won't offer suggestion as i'm sure you've already considered everything within your power to right this.

:x shipped a game to someone on ebay and it arrived broken, so instead of asking for a refund (like a sensible human being) they just left negative feedback.

I just spoke with the rep involved and he is reaching out to the customers and if he can smooth it over we will get to keep our jobs, but that bonus is gone. So putting out feelers for a new job, and I am going to try and pickup an hourly job for alittle while to make up for that bonus being lost.
