Definitely worth a watch. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Wispy is right - FMAB is one of the better shows I've seen, period. It's amazing.
I agree, it is really great and one of the better anime's out there. I've only seen half of the series but even that is worth it (I finished the manga so I kinda stop watching it since it was the same as the manga). The only complaint I have is the first part of the series moves a bit fast since it is covering stuff from the first anime series and there isn't as many "epic" moments or drawn out story.

An example I can give is Liore, the original anime was two episodes long and had a bit more dramatic moments and the storyline for Liore was done better for TV while the new anime felt rushed since it was all one episode long and was pretty much a scene by scene of the manga panels. I don't mind adding extra scenes or drawing out an arc if done right which I felt the first anime series did better for some parts.

That isn't to say that the anime has problems, as I still think it is quiet a great anime and holds up on its own and should be watched but it is just the first part rubs me the wrong way is all. My complaint on it is like saying something is ruined because they forgot to add a clock in one scene, so don't mind me.

Watching Trigun for the first time ever. I hate myself for not checking this out sooner, considering I love Slayers and this has a very similar vibe

Right now I'm double dipping. I'm watching two at once.

I'm watching Nyan-koi and Twelve Kingdoms.

Nyan-koi is the typical, safe 12 episode modern anime. Looks nice but nothing groundbreaking.

Twelve kingdoms is okay. I dont have them all. Still need three more volumes I think to complete my set. Its definitely got some backstory. But it makes you want to look into it more. Its got some short arcs that are connected. I guess each arc was tied to a novel that was the basis for it.

Its also too bad the story didn't really get finished. Such is the thing with budgets and newer anime.

Not many get past 13 episodes now a days.

Still, if you want to see a cool fantasy anime (that reminds you of avatar) take a peek over at Twelve Kingdoms.

The last segment was very enjoyable, but the rest were pretty good too. Gorgeous in HD.

I just read that Viz (not Funimation *shock!*) has licensed Sailor Moon. All 200 episodes, 3 movies and the various specials, unedited, subbed and with a new dub (the voices of which will be approved by the original creator.) They're going to release everything in half-season sets (DVD/Bluray combo I hear) starting some time this fall.

This means I will finally, finally, be able to finish off the series with the 5th season. I... I may cry

That's great news!!!

I picked up the first two Evangelion Rebuild movies today. Is 3.33 out? It's available for pre-order on Amazon yet there are a bunch of reviews. I is confused.

And holy shit when did The End of Evangelion get so damn expensive?!

Looks like it's been released in select theaters, but Funimation wants to keep touring before releasing the DVD/Blu Ray set.

Looks like most of the original series DVDs are, except Death and Rebirth.

No one wants Death and Rebirth. It's just ep 25 & 26 but longer.
