Awesome! And remember, just because you can drill a hole in the wall and no one can stop you doesn't mean you should get carried away and put a bunch of holes in all your walls.
I won't.

Wife and I have set a max budget of $250,000.

Some of you are probably wondering how you can get a house for that low of a price. Hint: look at my Location.

The nicest one I've looked at so far is $199,000.

There is also a small chance that we could end up buying the house we're currently renting. That would be amazing - wouldn't have to move a damn thing. We would have to finish the basement eventually, but that isn't a big deal.

i paid $69k for my 1890-built three bedroom with 2300 sq ft. $250k would buy a city block in my neighborhood.

 Some time ago, while sorting out my unemployment I found myself having to file an unemployment claim with the Florida Department of Employment Security and just found out I didn't make enough money at my old job to get unemployment. Along with my current joblessness I know have NOTHING coming in.

Maybe better off as a mercenary. That would fit his REPO image a little better.

looks like it's time to start lowering your ridiculously high standards for employment and overcome your adversity to working hard doing stuff you don't like. get a job at taco bell, dude. they are always hiring and they will pay you/feed you. i did it for 3 years because i literally had nothing else i could do. i was a manager when i left.

you can do it. don't be a dummy.

don't have a car? get a bike. don't have a bike? find out what public transportation options are available near you. you can do it.

Long-winded explanation as to why your perfectly sensible advice does not actually apply to REPO coming in...3...2...1...
