What shmup are you playing now?

My greatest accomplishment (shmup related) today.

Beat Gunbird 2 (first loop) on 2 credits. I'll put this as a higher accomplishment than any of my ALL's. How anyone can clear the first loop on one credit is beyond me, let alone both loops.

After stage 4, this game is just brutal. I can pretty consistently hit 1-5 on my first life now - 1-5 was a huge wall. The speed and homing bullets are just nasty. I'll take 1,000 cave bullets over 100 psikyo bullets any day of the week.\

I know I shouldn't be gushing about a 2 credit clear, but this is the greatest high i've had in the genre to date.

TRP-STGT 2014 Week 2 is Gemini Wing. Doing fairly well so far, up to 678k and the Stage 5 boss. I'm off to San Francisco on Thursday though, so I don't think I'll be able to play much more in this round. Seems tough on Normal, but I think I'll go back to the game afterwards and see if I can clear it on default (easy) difficulty.
