Game Gear with white 0.47uF and 10uF caps

I have opened a fair few GG's in my time but this one that was sent to me from the USA has me stumped and looking online I have not really seen anything quite like it.

Is this some odd variant of some sort? even looking up images of the same motherboard seems to pull up all black caps.

Its also worth mentioning the screen is sharper and the caps are all working perfect still.

Well, they're obviously different than what most people have. There might have just been a different supplier at that time. None of the 4 or 5 GGs I've opened up have white ones either. I'd just be happy that they're working better than the usual ones.

Wasn't there a newer, limited run of Game Gears in the early 2000's? Could be one of those...

It could be that some one already replaced the caps...

I have run into a few white cap game gears. They are not as common, but not extremely rare either. In my experience, they poop out just like the black caps, but keep in mind that I bought a bunch of broken ones to fix a while back, so it kind of came with the territory.
