You aren't doing much to change my mind.

GameRankings lists it as the 111th best-reviewed game on the N64. Big whoop.
Metacritic scores it at a 77%. Unimpressive when even marginally good games usually score an 80% or better given review inflation...
Mobygames lists it at a 74%, and it was the worst-scored Kirby game on a Nintendo home console at the time it was released (and is now second-worst to only Air Ride).

It may be better than mediocre, but it is clearly a second/third tier N64 game and one of the least loved games in the series...

Other than the admittedly neat power mixing mechanic, Kirby 64 probably ranks pretty close to the bottom for me.

Adventure and Super Star beat it by miles.

Alright, I'm settled. In no particular order save the first:

1. Final Fantasy (PSP)
2. Half-Life (PC)
3. Mike Tyson's Punch Out (NES)
4. Alone in the Dark (PC)
5. Golden Axe (Genesis)
6. Metal Gear Solid (PS1)
7. Tomb Raider (PS1)
8. Legend of Zelda (NES)
9. Ys I & II (PSP, sorry Bone, no TurboCD)
10. Deus Ex (PC)

Question is, do I play the OG Half-Life or Source?

PSP version of Ys is solid as hell so it's all good. I just got done (re)playing it myself a few weeks ago.

I did a bunch of level-grinding in Exile last night. I think there's a level cap and I'm about halfway there. Haven't made much progress in the actual game tho.

Yeah decided to start playing crystalis and right now i'm on the way to beating the vampire boss though I'm almost certain I need to grind some before taking it on(I think I'm on to learning something now about these old games). Gotta admit it's a great game and wish that i knew if snk made more games like it...though I'm going to guess they didn't. Now gotta make a choice which I'm going to get cracking on tonight if either one. Both are too fun to choose right now ha ha

Went through a few more temples in Exile.

Found an easy spot to level grind and maxed out my level. Kinda cheap, but whatever. Took down the last couple of bosses in only a few hits each.

Weird game. You have a "party" of several members but only one actually engages in combat. The others are just there for plot/dialogue purposes.

Anyone else ever play this?

All right. So, I've been thinking about this for a couple days now and I think I've decided to join fastbilly in only playing one RPG this summer. I had a lot of fun a couple years ago with Final Fantasy IV, and my time is a bit limited, so I feel that's a good direction for me to go. The only question left is which RPG should I choose?

I've whittled it down to the following choices:

Final Fantasy I GBA (I have the NES game, but I'd be afraid the battery would die on me)
Final Fantasy VI GBA
Dragon Warrior I GBC
Dragon Warrior III GBC

What do you guys think?
