I've beaten the NES Punch-Out as part of my summer games list before. I don't think it's nearly as bad as people say it is. Knight to the list.
Mike Tyson's Punchout or just Punchout?

@TSTR

Make sure you play at least 4-5 ports of Ys Book I & II. Ya know, just to make sure you really experience all it has to offer.

I'm just kiddin'. Kinda.

You don't have a Turbo CD do ya? That version of Ys Book I & II smooshes them into one long game.

I can't see him going along with Pod Racer or Silhouette Mirage.

You might be able to make a case for them, but the former isn't known for being a defining racing game by any measure, and the latter is very obscure.

I think the other 9 are great options though, so you only really need to find one more.
Yup! It's like I don't even need to chime in any more

That said, I also have some issues with DK64 and Burning Rangers. I think DK64 = Kirby 64 in that it is a poor entry in a well regarded series, and by most accounts the low point. Burning Rangers, while pricey and good, is also about as obscure as Silhouette Mirage.

TSTR, Ack advised you well.

Alright, sounds good. I've made an updated list. Took out the unapproved ones, and put in a couple more:

1. Resident Evil 4 (PS2)
2. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
3. Mega Man 2 (NES)
4. Panzer Dragoon Zwei (Saturn)
5. Wave Race 64 (N64)
6. F-Zero GX (GC)
7. Shantae (GBC via 3DS)
8. Virtual Boy Wario Land (VB)
9. Sonic and Knuckles (Genesis)
10. Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)

Not sure what your issue with Kirby 64 ever was, dish. It's a great 5th gen platformer, one of the best N64 games, and the last "classic" Kirby title. A must-play in my book.

Return to Dream Land is absolutely "classic" Kirby and much, much better than Kirby 64.

I've heard good things. By "classic" I was thinking more of the Kirby games that were released "back in the day" and ended up on the Dream Collection. I do think Kirby 64 is severely underrated. I never played it until recently and loved it.

Sweet! I've already started Resident Evil 4. I'm about three hours in. Love the merchant. Definitely gonna play Shadow of the Colussus immediately after I'm done with RE4, and Shantate once I'm in need of mobile gaming. I'll probably start Majora's Mask in August once my summer jobs end. And I'll probs start F-Zero later on this evening, playing that alongside RE 4.

There will be about a good few days of me not playing any of these when the new Smash Bros comes out. I'm also going to Tokyo with my girlfriend for a week in July, so I won't be gaming then either. (So excited, we have a ton of cool stuff planned for that.) But I plan on being able to finish all of these by the time classes start up in late August.

Also, Kirby 64 is my favorite Kirby game, and probably one of my most favorite games of all time.

EDIT: I just realized, Shantae would be a great game to play on the plane to and from Tokyo... So there's that.
