I am jealous. I use to play every Wednesday, then Monday. Then I moved and I have not played in over a year and a half.
Ah, bummer man. I know how that is - after my first campaign ended, I didn't play for a good three, four years.
I was an ardent 3.5 player, but in this one, we're doing the Pathfinder ruleset, and I love it. I like how all the documentation is online, so we don't have to be swapping books all the time.
Pathfinder is most excellent if you like 3.5. Honestly I like 4.0 quite a bit, but I also have a fairly extensive set of heroscape tiles, 3d dungeon parts, and painted minis. Ive been trying to get a Fantasy Trip group up near me, but no one seems to care about tabletops here.
catnip, if you have not seen them, look up the Gamers movies by Dead Gentlemen productions.

Whoa, congrats man! Enjoy it
Thanks. Should be fun. I think we have about 120 lbs of chicken and 5 boston butts to cook up along with other things, but the next day and a half will be hectic with everyone running around like a chicken with their head cut off
My contract says I'm entitled to it, and it is personal.
So guess who just called at 12:10 to talk?
Plus my boss knows the reason I'm taking a half day is because my wife had a miscarriage and needs some consoling. The fucking nerve.
And the reason for the call? I called an existing customer, and "my focus needs to be new business". Sure, agreed. But when they don't have DATABASE of existing customers that's a little tough for me to figure out.
I recover quickly and the reason for my half day is to make my wife happy. For my company to know what's up on a day off and pester me about something that in the end of the day doesn't matter... it makes me furious, and shit if I need more stress.
I'm sorry Luke I can't even imagine how difficult a situation like that can be. Hopefully your boss pulls his head out of his ass and doesn't bother you anymore. There is a time and place for business and that definitely wasn't necessary.

Thanks.
She's sent me three emails since I last posted.
IT'S A DAY OFF!
I have no clue what they are thinking. When you have a day off...IT'S A DAY OFF!
