Well still stuck on the bat boss in ys 1. I'm trying to get the silver armor(again)...stared at the tv for one minute and got killed by a fox... And when I thought i'd paused the game before spacing out on the tv...

You need to have all the silver equipment to beat the bat boss. I believe your level needs to be maxed out too.

that's what kills me. It's a great game. It's just a mess.

Yeah, I kinda knew i had to get the armor and sword to do it but got killed by the fox like I said. Though I'm half tempted to boot up my gba sp and play something on there....just because I can't play only one game at a time. Or i'll play sm64ds...I can't decide >_>

The bat boss isn't bad on the PSP version. Just get leveled up and go for it!

He's got all summer.

You're all going through these games a bit fast, maybe this should be called PRE-Summer Games Challenge 2014?

I kinda noticed that, though people seem to be avoiding the longer RPGs on their lists for now and focusing on the shorter ones. There does seem to be a lot more interest in this thing this year though - the 2013 thread didn't even have 100 pages and this one almost has 50 already.

This thread always seems busiest early on. Then everyone gives up or forgets about it come July XD

I've finished Gravity Rush, and I'm playing a quick run through of Rondo of Blood before I get stuck into Symphony of the Night as one of my first summer games - so I'm actually going for one of my longest games first!

I'll probably have a few attempts at Double Dragon this weekend too. I'm not great at it...

Someone else has Symphony of the Night on their list too right? They should start this weekend too!

I've already played a huge percentage of retro RPGs that interest me. So I'm chasing after some of the shorter acradey/platformy stuff I never completed. I still did end up with some RPGs on my list though - Exile and (debatably) Zelda II.

Speaking of which, Exile is a crazy ass game. A JRPG with a Middle Eastern theme, drug use, swearing, and a story even less coherent than the one found in Muramasa. This gonna be good.
