it is overrated. there are tons of better mexican joints around here. but in a pinch, they're nicer to have around than, say, Taco Bell.

It is merely convenient and passable. But I also have the benefit of living in Houston and having access to so many good quality mexican/texmex restaurants.

Oh man, I couldn't disagree more! My gf used to work at one, and I haven't gotten sick of it yet. I think a big part of my love for it is because there aren't any real good taco places in the area. There's one downtown that uses all local ingredients and is pretty fancy, but man, do its products taste like dung.

Yay Vermont!

Count me in the Chipotle=crappy food camp. Not sure why anyone would eat there unless their only other option for Mexican-esque food was Taco Bell.

Why would I bother with Chipotle when I already know Taco Bell's menu?

Because as bad as Chipotle is, Taco Bell is worse.

Well someone who lives in Texas probably has a few more options for Mexican food vs. someone who lives in Maine.

Regardless, I think it's tasty.

I simply can't believe that Chipotle is your only option. If that was all I had to choose from, I'd just make the food myself. Life is too short to eat shitty fastfood pseudo mexican food.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I agree. At an old job, people loved it for some reason and always wanted to pick up lunch from there, so I tried it many times. Nothing had any flavor. Not the lime rice that people rave about, not even the 'spicy' beef. Neither salt or salsa helped. I am spoiled with Freebirds or Bullritos if I want a fast fat burrito, but if Chipotle were my only choice I'd just do without. They're owned by McDonald's by the way.
