What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Been trying to get my grandmother back into her home, but the AC is completely out. Had two different companies come and look today.
The first guy climbed in the attic and started digging around and was very thorough. After about half an hour he said the AC was the right size but the duct work was done wrong before and they would fix it and entirely replace the outside and inside AC Units for about 4 grand, including permits and everything.
The next guy refused to even thoroughly look around in the attic and said we needed a larger unit, including the furnace. It would run over 10 grand PLUS the cost of permits and what not. He refused to even consider a smaller unit and I felt he was upselling me the entire time.

I hate when people posts ads for broken consoles I can easily repair along with rare games that drives the price up. Currently bidding on a certain console that happens to have a $25 game in it and 4 others including a $10 one so the price has shot up way more than what I can usually buy them dead for, but it's the only ad up.
I've been wanting this console for awhile now and the auction ends in 20 minutes.
I won!

Paul Mooney's health isn't looking too hot. I don't think he'll be with us for much longer.

Oh yeah I got back from visiting Austin over the weekend. Unfortunately didn't do much besides hang out with friends, drive around aimlessly, and eat at a few restaurants, but I still got a good feel for the place and REALLY liked it there.
Abilene feels 10x as dinky and boring now. Gotta hurry up and get moved...

LOL. That would be fun, but really I am at a factory that just lays off every summer. All my work is for Memorial Day. It has its ups and downs as every where does.mjmjr25 wrote:Semi-pro Hockey?bryan_65 wrote:Lay off for the summer.![]()
