Re: H.R. Giger has died
I caught Jodorowsky's Dune a few weeks ago and the story of how Jodorowsky had become aware of Giger through Salvador Dali was really cool. And of course seeing all his concept art for the film was awesome. Dune was the project that eventually led to Giger to do Alien.
A friend of mine actually just finished a custom H.R. Giger wrap on a drum kit that's gonna be set up at the Boston Tattoo Convention

Really bizzare art, love it. I made a CDR full of his stuff keep it with my Alien Quad collection DVDs. I wonder if that Giger Bar is still open. Must be packed right now.

There are 2. And now I think about it, I should have tried to go to the one in Tokyo when I was there.CRTGAMER wrote:Really bizzare art, love it. I made a CDR full of his stuff keep it with my Alien Quad collection DVDs. I wonder if that Giger Bar is still open. Must be packed right now.

I've had a Giger poster/print for years that's currently hanging above my desk. What a mad genius. RIP.
