Derped around with EotB a bit the other night. Wish this game had some sort of automapping system (don't we all?).

Graph paper, son!
Though if you need a map of the first level, here you go:

Thanks.
Did a little more digging and I found all the maps online.

Oh man, that's an awesome resource, Bone! I'm really looking forward to this.
So, those of you who have been mulling this over or have started it, what have you done for party creation? This is what I'm thinking about running with:
Front Row:
Dwarf Warrior
Human Paladin
Back Row:
Elf Wizard
Human Cleric
I want a team that is heavy on combat in the front row. The issue with this is that I'm not sure how much I'm going to need a thief. I know there is one I can revive, but I don't know how important he is. And is the character maximum 4, or can I potentially add a couple of new characters later?
Also, any ideas on whether gender influences character build?

Ack, I went with:
FR:
Human Fighter (Stark)
Elf Fighter/Thief (Timmy)
BR:
Human Cleric (Sara)
Elf Ranger (Sheena)
I've never played this before, so I'm sure I'll end up re-rolling a party. I had to limp along my Figher/Thief at first, but he seems to be doing ok now. I'm one level down.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Have you figured out how to throw knives as a back up to attacking, Stark? It might help things along as you continue.

Yeah the cleric can't equip them though? So she has a rock. The Ranger has two daggers to throw, since I don't have a bow yet. I think I need to read the manual, it is a little obtuse.

Yeah, there are quite a few manuals available for download online from all the different ports. Be wary that they inclue a walkthrough as well, in case you prefer to go through blind.

Wow the second floor is confusing. I've got all the doors open I think, but that illusionary wall stuff is giving me a headache.

So I am thinking pretty seriously about playing Treasure of Tarmin as a bit of a warm up first. Anyone ever give it a go?
