-Everything will wind up on ebay eventually. There will be a secondary market for preorder content. Yeah, the price will be higher. If you wanted something you should've signed up for it.

-They're called "bonuses" for a reason. They're meant to entice you to get the game early. You miss out on a limited run of goodies? You snooze, you lose.
Remember when pre order bonuses weren't stuff removed from the game, but physical items?
[/quote]yep, they still do this.

Look man, I'm not trying to be antagonistic. I'm really, really not. You just seem to complain a lot and the complaints in this instance aren't really a big deal. Maybe it would be in your best interest to stick with retro stuff; cause you certainly don't seem to enjoy anything current.

(not necessarily about Drakengard 3, but modern games in general) - I mostly ignore all of this limited/collector's edition nonsense. Most of it is crap. A couple of plastic trinkets and a 5-song "soundtrack" CD isn't worth paying an extra $20-$40 or whatever on top of the already-high launch price. Not to mention the amount of shelf space these giant boxes consume.

Pre-order DLC I dont really care about most of the time. It'd be nice if they threw it up on the store to download at some point though so everyone's happy.

Get an email from Squeenix telling me "The product that you preordered is now available."

What the hell does that mean?

Looked like DLC was activated (Japanese voice over in this case) that is a pre-order bonus.

That is exactly how I feel about it too.

On the rare occasions I end up with LE versions the extra fluff just sits in my closet anyway.

That kind of confused me, too. I read, "The items you pre-ordered are now available" and thought, "Well, great..." *reads email* "Uh, okay....How am I supposed to get them again? Are the codes coming with the game? Are they floating through the ether? What am I looking at here, Square?" *3 hours and one more email later* "Okay then. That answers that question."

So I preordered the standard edition off of Amazon. Collector's edition doesn't look worth it imo, the only item that really catches my eye is the Japanese VO dlc.

Honestly, this is a game I am super excited for and yet I wasn't planning on buying it this soon. Was thinking of waiting a while for a price drop. But honestly $50 isn't bad, and I really want to support games like this to get more publishers to take "risks" on more original games. Hopefully after what happened with Bravely Default, if this game can sell better than expected then Square will just shut up, make more old school games like this or BD, and take my money.
