You played any of the King's Quest games? KQ6 is a great adventure game.

I don't think I've really played any of the Sierra graphical adventures. I think they keep me away because I've heard there's a lot of dead-ends, deaths, and puzzles with nonsensical solutions. Clue me in if you think I'm wrong and missing out on something?

No, that pretty much sums up King's Quest 6 to be honest.

Nope, you're not wrong. Have you played The Longest Journey?

I think Loom might be best. Stick to my gut. I've talked about doing that one for a few Summers now.

so, FINAL:

Aliens Versus Predator
Batman Arkham Asylum
Dragon's Lair
Fallout
Loom
Metal Slug 3
Phantasy Star IV
Sonic 3 And Knuckles
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Wonder Boy In Monster World

Those are some good picks.
Yeah most of what's in my collection right now that counts is RPGs. And I really want to beat those maybe next year I'll have more variety to pick from
I don't know anything about Pokemon but the combined length of Crystalis, Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, Ys, and Final Fantasy Adventure is still well under 60 hours. So shorter than a lot of modern RPGs. I love how short and streamlined they used to make 'em.

You may be tempted to play Ys II as well, as it's on the same compilation as Ys I.

And make sure that you one day check out the sequel to Final Fantasy Adventure: Secret of Mana. I can't stress that enough. Great game.

I have a few days off after today so I think I'll give FFIX some serious love. It's shaping up to be a bit better than I remembered, so I already feel hopeful. Those damn animal people still annoy me though...

I would suggest starting with either Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Metal Slug 3, or Sonic 3. Reason being, you've got 10 games to spread out over the next three months, and these three are short enough to give you an easy victory and make you feel like you're progressing early on. I think this kind of thinking is key to success to making a serious dent in your list, as you feel you have accomplished something. Once you have that first game done, then pick up a longer game, Like Aliens versus Predator or Batman: Arkham Asylum and start pushing through. At the start of June, regardless of your progress on the longer games, sit down and push through a smaller one really quick for another boost.

Batman is so good though...the first game is fantastically done, definitely one of the highlight games for the 7th gen.
