hi members , ive been following this and the above link was released about 50 minutes ago

you guys interested in these ?

ive estimated they will be at the usual places to buy in 2 - 2 1/2 months , ive been learning RGH for some weeks now and researching better soldering supplies ( solder and flux ) than the basic stuff you buy at Radioshack etc

the better your soldering the better your glitch times...........

anyways hope you find this interesting

Well I know I'm going to want to get a full mod done on my 360, but just goes to show how out of the loop I was, I thought with RGH you didn't need a physical mod chip like the Coolrunner.

It's a ways down my list of desired mods though, so I suppose I have time to research. Thanks for the heads up!

I am, by and large, a complete idiot regarding these things, especially for the 360. What are these mod chips used for? Can they be used on all 360s including the Xbox 360 E variant (latest release)?

My knowledge on this subject goes as far as the original Xbox with soft modding. With a mod chip you can turn it into a media center running all sorts of nonsense media. How, I haven't a clue. Could we be able to do the same with the 360?

the Coolrunner line of glitch chips sends a tiny pulse to the processor and then allows ( i think ) a bootloader to run.

which in turn you can launch unsigned code like Freestyle Dash , its a Dash where you can load games from a external Hard Drive etc.............

just letting you guys know Coolrunner 4 is about 4 weeks away from release................

there have been some delays but it looks like the above is the release time

any of you guys going to get one and install it ? or have a modder install it for you ?

ive already pre-ordered 3 and have a 360 i bought just for a install , if its a success im going to buy another 360 and see if i can get success again etc..........

if i can get 3 working 360's ill feel confident in my skill , ive been researching how to install them and flash the NAND for months now

after that im going rampant and going to do my 7 untouched Japanese 360's and also buy more second hand 360's

the aim is to own about 15 total

I'll probably want it done eventually. Depending on price and if I can find someone locally to do it (considering it'll cost me another $35-40 easy just to ship my system back and forth to a modder)

from what ive seen prices to do the mod is $50 and then the hardware on top.............

also these are the best Coolrunner to date and the previous are hard to find now and sold out in some places so i would recommend putting it on your priority list

and get someone reliable to do the install as some of the dodgy ones do bad work and use fake Coolrunners

I'll probably just buy the chip myself to make sure I can get it, $50 isn't that killer, then at some point when I have cash either scrounge up someone locally (I got a couple buddies who are handy with soldering irons) or just suck it up and mail it off to someone from here that I know I can trust, and there's a couple I've had do work before.

i just remembered your going to need QSB's ( Quick Solder Boards ) and a J-R Programmer that is if a friend does the install

a modder will already have a J-R Programmer

the Programmer flashes the NAND and the Coolrunner is the modchip
