N64s were $25 console only
Genesis were $20 console only
Playstations $50 :?
Xbox $50 :?

This made me go look at Wii brand new prices, they are selling them for $270-$400 . Wii is rare collectable now ?

Who is selling them at that price? Unless it includes a ton of games, I usually laugh at any Craigslist ad for a Wii over $100. Hell I see Craigslist ads all the time for a Wii and a handful of crappy games for more than it costs for a brand new one at the store.

A lot of the Amazon listings are in that range for New. Amazon itself doesn't sell Nintendo consoles, so it'd be sellers with limited stock. Most retailers only offer the Wii Mini online, or used systems in the case of Gamestop. My guess would be that the Wii Family Edition (the non-Gamecube compatible one) is out of production and can't be restocked (it was officially announced as such for Japan and Europe).

So, basically, dwindling stock = jacked up Amazon prices, per usual. Plenty of brick and mortar locations may still have them on the shelves, or there are a crap-ton of used ones for cheap.

Yeah my rule of thumb if your reselling consoles is aim for the $15 or less zone unless they are in really good shape or have extras.

N64 and Genesis 2 systems are pretty much the easiest "retro" consoles to find and they are relatively cheap due to the large supply and lack of demand. In all honesty you could probably make more money parting out a console selling the cords, controllers, and system separately then you could selling it as a whole.

Edit: I'm not a big fan of doing that though :P.

Finally have something worth writing home about. Had a $40 off $100 or more purchase at Cash America Pawn. Decided to get the following:
PS3
Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare
Killzone 3
DBZ Ultimate Tenkaichi

2ds system with universal charger and Super Mario 3d land

Mario and Luigi Super Saga gba

All that for $67 after tax before the coupon the 2ds was $69.99. So like getting all the rest for free.

I'll play the 2ds for a while. Not a lot of 3ds games I wanna buy. After that I'll give it to my nephews.

Moderate pickup today.

Image

Lost Planet:Extreme Condition - $1.99 at GameStop. Came with the tin, the game, the bonus CD, manual, an art book, and the two code cards. It didn't have A plastic slide cover but that's okay. I think it looks better without it. I haven't tested the codes yet, but the in game one has probably been used.

Perfect Dark Zero - $1.99 at GameStop. I already own this game but only in the normal copy. This is the collector's edition and I'm kinda glad I didn't pass. Comes with cover and tin, game, bonus DVD, manual, mini-comic book, a collectible dataDyne card, and even has the Samsung ad still in it. The clerk, thankfully, went looking for the bonus disk when he didn't see it in the envelope and I'm going to do the survey because of that.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (Xbox) - $2.99 at Bullmoose. Game with case and manual. I'm a big Metal Gear fan and I already own two copies of MGS2 (Sons of Liberty for the PS2 and the HD rerelease for the Xbox 360) but I've always wanted Substance and I wanted to try it on the Xbox since I'm not a big PS2 guy.

Nothing major but they're all in great condition for a good price in the wild.
Systems Owned: NES, Sega Genesis (Non-TMSS), Game Boy, Game Gear, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis (Model 2), PlayStation, N64, Sega Dreamcast, GBA SP, Xbox, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Xbox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, PSP, Nintendo 3DS

Thrift Store:

Ace Combat Zero (PS2): $7
Pokemon Sapphire (GBA): $15

Sapphire, of course, has a dry battery. I now own all the PS2 Ace Combat games (4 and 5 I got at Goodwill a few weeks ago for $2/each!).

Sapphire is also getting a 3DS remake for the Fall.

Quite sadly, i'm going to have to let the seller know UndeadLine was not quite as advertised - some major cart / label damage and the cart has clearly been opened before, label is torn at the seam :/

Aww that sucks. Inexcusable on the price point you probably paid.
