Infinite was my second favorite game of 2013. It's a great, great game. With saying that, I think I liked the original one just a bit better (never played 2).noiseredux wrote:first time playing the first game, yeah. I played Infinite first, and it became one of my favorite games of 2013. I was going to play the DLC, but decided I owe it to myself to go back and play the original games first.graffix_13 wrote:First time playing it?noiseredux wrote:Bioshock

For 2, just put it on easy and look at the scenery. Unless you like mandatory escort missions to be hard.graffix_13 wrote:Infinite was my second favorite game of 2013. It's a great, great game. With saying that, I think I liked the original one just a bit better (never played 2).

2. Bioshock Infinite
Now here’s a game that really took me by surprise. Bioshock Infinite was a game that I decided to play solely based on how pretty I thought it looked. And other than the prettiness of screenshots, I mostly went into it knowing nothing. A dozen hours later I walked away with an emotional experience on par with some of my favorite games of recent years like Shadow of the Colossus and Heavy Rain. Infinite is a staggeringly gorgeous game that incorporates various bits of history, theology, literature, architecture and much else as bits and pieces weaved together like a fever dream. That the FPS mechanics are so strong certainly propels everything else forward effortlessly. Add to this that the majority of the game is pretty much an escort mission, but one done so well that it begs the question “who was escorting who?”

Project X Zone. This game is definitely greater than the sum of its parts. I can't stop playing it

Yeah that seems to be what I thought the response to that might be. They shouldn't of made it so good. It's a great game...also played part of the demo for dream team...I really need that one. Not to mention I also gave lost world, and epic mickey power of illusion a go to. I really loved all of them. Still need to give bravely default's demo a go and crazy construction too. Man this whole 3ds thing is horrifyingly addicting. I really want super mario 3d land even if it's not the mario I wanted(really wanted a super mario galaxy like game or even super mario sunshine).Stark wrote:MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHdarsparx wrote:Well just finished the demo of fire emblem awakening on my 3ds...feeling a little empty inside now that it's done because i want more
Now back to smb deluxe...

Re: What are you playing?
mmkay no spoilers please, but I'm 3 or 4 hrs into Bioshock and loving it. So different from Infinite in tone. And in appearance. Everything is so dark, scary, claustrophobic. And the sisters... I know I have an option to harvest or save, but I can't let myself do anything but save them. Again, no spoilers please.
One thing I could use a hint on though is how come I can only have 2 open slots for powers? I found 3 of them so far but can only keep 2 even though there's a bunch more "closed" slots.

I know right? It's so damned shallow yet so damned hypnotic.Snatch1414 wrote:Project X Zone. This game is definitely greater than the sum of its parts. I can't stop playing it
Even when I find myself getting bored of the repetitive parts (that is, the entire game) I still want to go another round.

Bioshock is one of those games that should never be spoiled. It is an awesome game. I might replay it this summer as I have the collectors pack.noiseredux wrote:mmkay no spoilers please, but I'm 3 or 4 hrs into Bioshock and loving it.
Currently, I'm hammering through MGS 2 on my Xbox. I picked up Substance today and I'm enjoying it but trying to relearn the controls. Maybe I replay Twin Snakes once I beat this.
