Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Brought these babies home today. I think I will keep the Atari Game Center (I have a heavy sixer that would look deliciously '70s on top of it. The N64 drawer I'll probably trade or something to someone that would appreciate it more than me.

The ps2's are always mixed in with the dvds(along with some xbox games). And the ps1's if they have any are with the cd's....go figure. Sadly though they are usually some fps or sports game I don't want...
99% of the time, this is the case with every thrift store I visit. I just happened to find the other 1% this time. I certainly don't go in expecting it. It's just a really nice surprise when it does happen.
I agree with the Goodwills. However, I've also seen where the game is just plain missing from the case. One time I found Tomb Raider for the PS1 but the game was missing, then I found another PS1 game (don't remember what it was) and it was the same thing. Sometimes I have to visit 4 Goodwills to get anything from them (there are 4 up north from my college, 2 of them are at opposite ends of the street).

That was actually the case with one of the games I almost picked up a few weeks back(but settled for a gh controller). It was a simpsons game for the gc but still looked like a decent game(crash and run and I think or something of that nature I'll have to look it up). There were a few others, and they are probably gone now. I'm kinda hopeful that if I do a another run in that town there's some decent games I could use some interesting ones to get out of the way until the n64 market dies down(or I least am able to find some cheapo games in my hunts)

Simpsons Hit & Run. good, mission-based GTA-style game in the simpsons universe. gamecube version is the closest to a GTA styled game you get on that system. go get it if it's still there, great game.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Potential mother load incoming.....maybe.
Over the last week I had been chatting with a couple who mentioned that they are looking to sell some old gaming stuff. Today, I was sent a list of the games and it was a complete mash up of superb and sub par; everything from Secret of Mana right down to Madden 93. The guy said that all games would be the same price!
He also mentioned that he has lots of systems and accessories for sale and that it would be easier for me to just come over and look through all of the boxes!!!.
I'm seriously excited about this one. They were very honest in saying it's first come first serve and that another guy is sniffing around. Suffice it to say, I already hit the bank and am headed there right after work. Apparently I'm the first one in line.
I'll be sure to update on this after the dust settles.
