Do you buy video games for your significant other?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Do you buy video games for your significant other?

Post by Unleaded Logic »

Just as the title says, do you buy any video games for your significant other when the Holiday season comes around?

I just got done with my Christmas shopping for my wife and I got her a few things for her Wii this year:

2 Wii nunchucks
Samba De Amigo
Samba De Amigo Maracas
Harvey Birdman (She loves the show and loves Ace Attorney on the DS.)
Wario Ware Smooth Moves

She wanted Mario Party 8, but I heard it really sucked so I avoided. We've played Wario Ware before and we loved it, but couldn't find it in a store anywhere around here; so I figured she'd like it.

So did you get anything for yours?

My wife asked for Wii Fit for Christmas and I got it for her... too bad that the price tag caused me to call it a family gift when I know that I will not give up the gym I built in the basement for a game.... I hope she at least plays it.

I try to stay away from games and electronics as gifts. It takes more effort for me to find non geeky gifts so it seems more real to me if that makes sense.

She had a DS on her Target wish list but we set a $50 limit this year.

I recently purchased Dr. Mario RX off of Wii-Ware - mostly for my girlfriend (whom I will be calling wife in a week). She plays puzzle games almost exclusively. Most of her "gaming" is done on Yahoo.

I looked at the play history recently and saw that she's been playing it regularly, so it was money well-spent.
