I basically just rock business casual every day. Somewhat nice shoes, slacks, button-up shirt, no tie. I think it's an easy way to look relatively good compared to t-shirt and jeans, I think. That said, most of the time, as soon as I'm home, clothes are no longer worn. Especially socks. Fuck socks.
Agreed. Fuck socks. I wish I had footpads like a cat so I didn't have to wear shoes either when I go outside.

:P : Got my first parking ticket today :P. Ended up stuck in a club meeting for over and hour. Got out about 2-3 minutes after my meter ran out to see the lovely bright pink envelope on my window. At least it's only $5 but it still burns me since the guy was no where in sight and must have sat there and waited on my meter to run out seeing as he hit it right on the 1 hour mark :P.

 : Finally was relieved off my duties as treasurer for the National Honors Society that I was a part of in College. Graduated last December but got stuck with the job since the President was incompetent and never got around to electing new officers until a few weeks ago :P. As a thank you for helping them out for an additional semester they gave me a $15 gift card to a local restaurant. The cherry on the cake is the gift card was donated by me to the club for a raffle which we actually drew winners for five different times before giving up since nobody wanted to actually pick up the prize :P.

Oh man. Do you remember the movie fliers for the original movie? I think I probably saw the fliers, what seemed like, a year before the release, which felt like an absolute eternity at the time. I was so stoked to finally see it when it came out.

Can't say I'm nearly as excited about the prospect of new Power Rangers movies now. There's a layer of nineties cheese that I'm sure will be awkwardly absent, and I'd imagine they'll suffer for it.

My biggest concern is they'll replace the rocking original theme song with dubstep.

Eh...My hope is one of these days that possibly they'll finally update the costumes and everything to finally have working mouths....that has always bugged about the whole series...though I really hope they don't shove some dub step or pop on to it...

you know, if you stop wearing shoes and socks when you go outside, eventually you'll have the human equivalent of pads like a cat.

i recently watched Power Rangers: Mega Force (or Zord Fighters or Dino Power or Extreme Legend or whatever the hell) with my nephew and my son, and it was pretty alright, even though it was totally terribly acting. at it's core, it's giant robots fighting giant monsters in a city. if that isn't awesome, i don't know what is. i would definitely go see a Power Rangers movie in 2014.

Broken glass :'( I live in the college bro/sketchy homeless section of town. If I walk outside without shoes, I come back in with the glass equivalent of an empty Old English bottle shoving itself into my feet. Otherwise, I would totally be down.

Jmustang1968 wrote:Yeah, Luke, as you already know, I dont really get your clothing requirements. It seems like you are atleast 5-6 decades out of alignment as far as that goes. Wearing suits to work is one thing, wearing them anytime you leave the house is something I would wager only a very small amount of people do these days. Im not one to say what is comfortable for others, but I hate wearing a suit/tie/coat etc...

It seems most professional settings besides sales and the courtroom have been going more casual focusing on comfort, ease, and performance over presentation.
!) A good suit never goes out of style. My fashion alignment (if that's a thing) is always on time, and not at all off. Plus suit styles change each year, so in no way shape or form am I wearing suits that someone would wear in the 70's. Lapels, cuffs, numbers of buttons, etc.

2) You're right when it comes the fact that people don't wear suits to "regular stuff". It's a shame they don't. People used to wear suits to baseball games, now they wear $50 sponsored t-shirts and look like they rolled out of bed.

3) Besides being inside of my wife or pajamas, I can't think of anything more comfortable than a suit.

4) If you go to any major city, every professional wears a suit (some exclusions of course).

5) To me wearing a tie and suit is the same as taking a shower or combing your hair. Look good.
