I hauled two truckloads of fallen trees for a whopping $25. They were pine trees so I still have sap and cuts all over my hands. :x

I wish I had a job interview RyaNtheSlayA. Odd jobs is all I've been able to find since I moved out here. :?

I'm human T-Ball. I'll set you up lots.

So...

Long story short, if you have to tell your boss "Welcome to a planet named Earth where you don't always get what you want" don't say "Welcome to a planet named Earth where you don't always get what you want".

Or do, but they probably won't like it. I accept that challenge.

I swear by the 80/20 rule and swot analyses. Live my business life by them. You're going to have weaknesses, get the fuck used to it and either say "This is just shitty" and focus on your strengths or work on it. But I get furious when I hear "But we don't do that!" at a business. That and "We've never done that before" and "that's not my job" drive me the whole nine nards crazy.

Smile: The upside of sales offline is schmoozing. Paying out of pocket sucks coin purses (both literally and figuratively), but I'm a people person (no really, I am) so having lunch and dinner dates is right up my alley. "Business expenses" will be a big thing for 2015 taxes.

As I read each of the reactions I pictured the comment being posted by an old, overweight, jowly guy decrying the "horrors of abortion". It made me smile.

I have no real stance on abortion, as I never had to make that decision. Unfortunately, one of flaws is that I always think "I should've" as I'm mu biggest critic. Even if I slept with Fatty Crotch Rot Jorts-McGee(I haven't, I promise) I don't think I could go through an abortion, and if I did, I'd wonder what could have come of Luke Jorts McGee. You build your mold out of the choices you make, but no one choice defines you (okay I'm a hypocrite as I think Rape does define someone as a perv). But you guys get what I"m providing, we all make mistakes* although I like to think I wasn't a mistake (in most sorts).

Read the article, didn't watch the video. I don't like death, so an abortion video isn't for me by any stretch.

I don't know about that whole abortion article- the only thing that really gets me about it is it seems like the lady used it as a get out of jail free card almost. As a sex educator that "was not ready for a child", she should have been using birth control, or she should not have been having sex. I have no idea how she came to her decision or anything like that, and I'm not trying to pass judgement harshly, but it just seems like she just decided she didn't want it so she should get rid of it. I believe that there should be a better reason for an abortion, rather than just not "being ready for a child". She's an adult with a job, I'm assuming that pays at least passably well considering she works for Cosmo, had access to birth control, and was adult enough to realize that she could get pregnant and all that entails. I don't really think that was an appropriate situation for an abortion, though I'm not the one that decides these things.

I also think the father should have at least been informed, if I found out I had a one night stand and got the girl pregnant, I would still feel attached to the possible child even if the mother was not.

I fully agree that she was engaging in irresponsible and reckless behavior. But I disagree with your assertion that "I'm not ready for a child" is not a valid reason to not have a child. When you have a kid that kid is going to be the focus of your life for the next 18+ years. If you're not ready to shoulder that responsibility then it is extremely negligent to go forward with the pregnancy.
I also think the father should have at least been informed, if I found out I had a one night stand and got the girl pregnant, I would still feel attached to the possible child even if the mother was not.
See, this logic is like the logic behind asking a girl how many partners she's had. It's really terrible logic because you don't actually want to know. You have a one night stand with a girl and you move on with your life and hope she didn't give you crabs. Finding out that she got pregnant and decided to terminate is not information you want to have, as best case you don't care and worst case now you feel robbed of a child. Similarly, when you as a girl how many partners she's had best case it's a number low enough that you don't care and continue as before and worst case now you start going through various bad emotions and you realize you didn't actually want to know. The only reason you have for wanting to a know that a girl you met once is now pregnant from having sex with you is you want to force her to carry the child to term for you, which seems akin to slavery.

I know this guy personally.

I saw him slap a hooker with a fish when I was a teenager (that's not even the interesting part of the story). I was friends (real friends) with his son and am great friends with one of his partners.

They'll leave the country. Not kidding. They will fly before trial if I know anything about their moral character. The company will be seized, they'll be disbarred/banned, and stripped of all integrity and dignity...for a while.

I hope #23 reads this article and shares his thoughts.
