First, remember never to mention iPhones because everybody gets uppity and has so much hate for them that they don't care about wasting space in a thread complaining about them. Very useful responses.
Second, I've been posting here for months on an iPhone 3G without any problems. Do other forums work? Have you upgraded the firmware? Are your browser settings okay? Not sure what else to try.

I got nothing against iPhones. I just don't like any phone that tries to be a computer.Doctor Fugue wrote:First, remember never to mention iPhones because everybody gets uppity and has so much hate for them that they don't care about wasting space in a thread complaining about them. I agree w/ Mozgus and thats my main problem w/ the iPhone, its hard enough to get people away from a normal cell phone the last thing I need is somebody thats so busy checking email, forums, texts, miss calls, voicemails, playing games, listening to music, watching videos on youtube that I cant get their attention for something important.Mozgus wrote:I got nothing against iPhones. The guys at work were bad enough when they all had Blackberrys. Now that they all have iPhones it's just depressing. I'm still rocking out with my Razr and lovin it.

I'm not entirely sure I understand that viewpoint - mobile phones have been doing PC-like functions such as email and internet access for over a decade now as standard. The only difference is that the iPhone does the web-browsing and media playback part better than most.Mozgus wrote:I got nothing against iPhones. nor do I
I have a phone, you know what it has!? Numbers, and it calls people.
@OP - do you have your cookies turned on? The forum runs on php which authenticates you and creates a temporary cookie (unless you have "remember me" selected, in that case it creates a psuedo permanent cookie), then when you go to post it checks for that cookie and authenticates again. If no cookie is found it asks you to log in and authenticate which generates another cookie. If you don't allow cookies, then it can't ever authenticate you accept for the initial "log in". If the forum logs you in and then authenticates via the cookie yet again before bringing you to the post page (which it most likely does), then you are caught in a vicious circle.
