Be sure to catch Being There. It is probably his best work.

A Shot in the Dark is my personal favorite, and The Pink Panther Strikes Again is incredibly silly (and also incredibly enjoyable). Other than the excrable Pink Panther films listed above - which are seriously awful - the other Peter Sellers entries in the Pink Panther series are all, IMO, pretty mediocre.

Finally, be sure to catch Murder by Death. It is a mediocre Agatha Christie parody with an absolutely amazing cast, and Peter Sellers' performance is great.

Own all of 'em. THE PARTY might be my favorite of his work as I don't think that movie even had a script. Pretty sure the director just said "...and action!" and Sellers did his thing. At least in my own little world that's how it played out.

Hate to be that person, but...

OMG you've never seen THE PARTY? It is fantastic and will have you saying "Birdy num nums?" for the rest of your life. It really is a treat of a movie.

A "Dollar a DVD" store could still make plenty of profit if it was set up like a dollar store.

Just throwing that out there. Cover overhead, one employee, everything else is a cherry on top. Just saying.

Ah, cheesy Star Wars rip offs. Roger Corman didn't do too bad with Battle Beyond the Stars, though it suffers from a few key points: low budget, sometimes hammy acting, a cinematographer who learned a few lessons from Star Wars but not enough, awful extras running around, terrible editing, and a script that feels more like it is moving through a string of five minute-long vignettes. If there were just ten more minutes of filler linking scenes together, I'd argue it would be a much better movie. Just show characters walking away or entering rooms, something!

Anyway, there is still a lot to like about the film. The spaceships are interesting, the characters are likeable, and the creature designs range from crap to pretty cool to Sybil Danning. Both George Peppard and Robert Vaughn do wonderful jobs, and Earl Boen's not bad either. And of course John Saxon as the villain gives a fun performance, even if it's obvious that his arm is stuffed under his shirt.

As for the plot, well... Battle Beyond the Stars is basically what happens when Roger Corman rips off Star Wars as an outer space clone of The Magnificent Seven/Seven Samurai...with Sybil Danning dressed as a Valkyrie. Woof.

Yeah, if you can get a hold of it, I'd suggest checking it out. The DVD and Blu-ray versions were released in 2011, so you should be able to find it.
