Barely broke 300,000 with Chun-Li X-ism on my second try. Turns out my fighting pad needs some reconditioning. : (

Maybe a strange question but are people purposely losing a round in the early matches just to rack up a few more points?

no. The thought had crossed my mind that that was possible, but it didn't sound like a fun strategy to me.

Got to the 4th opponent with Ken X-ism. Adon is an a-hole. Still, managed 700+k in that time. Cleaning and adjusting the ASCII fighting pad has made a difference.

Anyone else here play with the pad balanced on their knee so they can use multiple buttons more easily?

No. Actually, I got perfects both rounds on the 1st fight on my current high score. Netted me a little over 350k right away.

It was luck. You know what the difference is between a button-masher and me? I know the special moves. Only significant difference.

I was doing that on my first two attempts (that both got nerfed by a last minute defeat) to clear the game last week. I would deliberately lose the second round so that I could finish both rounds 1 and 3 with a level three A-ism super combo. Looking forward to getting some time to play this weekend so that I can finally put up a score.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
