Nice to see you, Rurouni.

...despite the seemingly bad circumstances.
How do you get three YLODs? Doing repair work?

:( - don't usually go in at 7:30am(there's some older guys at the store that work the morning shifts almost all the time) and have to be there 7:30am-3pm....saturday is going to be a long day with that(I will never get used to that since it only happens once every few months). As well next week back to being mostly bagger....fun while it lasted that i was cashier all this work week....

finally memorized quite a few more plu's but hard to keep them memorized since I'm still mainly a bagger there...

:D : My supervisor lady isn't going to be at work for 2 weeks. Since she is the only person who gives me things to do, this means I get to work from home for the next two weeks. Whoot!

:? : I still haven't been paid for March. I was told they lost my invoice (Considering how many people have to sign it, I'm actually surprised this doesn't happen more often.) So I'll probably end up having to go in anyway to pick up my check.

 : I've been hearing rumors that they've been thinking about putting me on the payroll (I am currently under the heading of "Consultant"), which would give me full-time hours, a raise and benefits. I don't know how to feel about this yet @_@ I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much in case said rumors be false.

 : Was a witness to an accident today. Well, actually, I was witness to the before and after of said accident.

I was walking through the parking lot towards a store and saw two bikers coming, neither wearing a helmet. The older woman in front clipped the divider ahead of me, wobbled, but then straightened back up and kept going. She passed me and I took about 3 or 4 more steps before I heard an "Oh!" and a loud thud. I turn around and she's sprawled out on the ground, halfway under the back of a car, clearly unconscious. An old man in the car next to her whipped out his phone with reflexes I would have been proud of and two other people were already running over. Since my medical knowledge pretty much begins and ends with being able to check for a pulse, I went inside and informed the people at the store. I swear I've never seen so many employees seemingly pop out of thin air and rush out of a store so quickly. If the situation hadn't been so serious it would have been kind of funny.

:? I'm supposed to have a job today clearing out fallen trees on some guy's farm or something. I was originally supposed to clean up his slaughterhouse but I'm kind of glad that the plans were changed.

 Picking some stuff up from Craigslist later today if I get home in time.

:x My ride/partner locked his keys in the truck so now I have to wait a few hours

Smile: Got a brand new Hori Wii Fighting Stick for a really fair price. It's the third one I've owned; for some reason I've twice gotten it into my head to sell the damn thing and always regretted it. I don't remember what was going on to make me do that but it's not happening a third time. I love the feel of the controller, the small foot print (relative to other arcade sticks), and the overall build quality...

...except...

Frown: The blue buttons are discolored and enough so that it's bothering me. They've taken on that kind of gross sick looking hue. I know what the deal is: The controller is pushing 8 years since it was manufactured and it's always a crap shoot what color/plastic mix will age well and which will lose their intended pigment. Fortunately, it's a legit Hori stick so it shouldn't be terribly hard to get and install replacements.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
